We were not able to cover every single trail, however based on “testing” all
sides of the Mountain we are quite confident in calling the entire array of
Tremblant Open Terrain as having not only escaped the “Warm” but has
actually thrived and moved forward with New Snow!
In other words...
Not only did Tremblant manage to escape all the “heat” that hit most
of the region to the immediate South, but it realized a gain in Fresh Snowfall
that has further contributed to Todays overall Coverage and Quality as well
as the Depth and Durability of the base.
Looking at the new snow on a Macro Basis, you can see from the sample below
that the snow has a very definite Crystal Shape that we would describe as being
capable of a Linear Mechanical Bond with a low internal humidity. This sample is
within the Viewing scope of the Lowell Thomas picture above.
It packs very well and it Grooms to almost ideal compaction for aggressive
Carving Edge-Set.
These wonderful performance qualities extend to not only all 4 sides
of Tremblant, but from Summit to Base in all those areas too.
More Snow Falling At Last Run.
As the Big Fat Flakes were falling in the lower temps at Last Run, it was impossible
not to think about how very fine the conditions should be tomorrow morning.

Notice to Future Tremblant Winter Ski/Board Holiday Planners:
You may be looking at this record years from now as part of your research into
typical Snow Surface Conditions for this time period and we want to point out that
the stability of Tremblant’s Winter Conditions while Southerly Regional Areas
are subjected to “Heat”, is frequently a tipping point advantage of Tremblant’s
more Northerly Latitude.
Booking a Ski Holiday in August or September requires the faith that winter
will be firmly in place when you go and the probability of that winter consistency
is greater with more Northerly Latitude.
Combine all these things with Tremblant’s Outstanding Terrain of World Class
Technical Merit and we think any decision you make to visit will be rewarded
with the very best possible Regional Conditions.
