You Do Not Need To Be A "Rocket Scientist" To See The Obvious Carving Quality.

You Do Need The Appropriate Skills To Handle The "Rocket Speeds" Though!

We ran another version of this below in last night’s Apres Ski. The important
thing to note is the “Razor Sharp Edge Hold” portion of the Pic.File data.

That Razor Sharp Line is the Arch you see to the left of the Skis(which are there
to show scale), that is the kind of Surgical Quality High Speed Carving being done
in a safe, controlled manor, at “Last Run” on Nansen Bas, Lower.

The Joy of finding Corduroy all day including Last Run is another story altogether.
The Amazing part there is that you don’t frequently find the words “Last Run”
and “Corduroy” in the same sentence, especially on a busy weekend Sunday!

What this really means for today is that as a Monday, Work/School day, the
Resort will have primarily Week-long Ski/Board Holiday Guests who are going
to find themselves in a very Low Density, Private Club-Like atmosphere where
they will feel as though they have BOTH the whole place to themselves, and
Surface Quality of the very Highest Standard Possible.

Below:

Short and Long Radius, "Race Training Grade" Carving can be done with complete
reliability All Day Long at Tremblant today....

....if you have the Muscle Endurance to handle it.

Today has the potential to be a very fine Training day. No crowds, No Line-ups
No Waiting... Lap after lap of Technique refinement does wonders for your Skill
Level and if you think “Fitness” is a good part of Skiing or Boarding, then you
can have that to a degree that you will NEVER be able to find in any Gym on the
Planet!

Today also has the potential to be a very fine Cruising Day...

Find a Relaxed Pace, Grab a Chair, and Enjoy the Views!

Weather Notes:

When You Are Moving...

You will need a complete, seamless exterior envelop to prevent the early
-30C Cold Air Migration into your Garment Layers... (You will still need
a good Outer Layer Seal even when the temps move up because “Air Speed”
will be directly proportional to “Ground Speed” as you descend. Cooling
happens very quickly with even tiny gaps, keep ‘em sealed, keep ’em warm!)

That temp will be short lived though, the forecasted daytime high is for -12C,
so once the Sun gets vertically overhead there will be a huge difference to the
feel of the day.

As a result of the early cold, Soleil Sector Opening is deferred to 10:00 A.M.
for safety concerns.

When You Are Not Moving...

One of the nicest aspects of todays weather is the very light wind forecast.
A review of the Graph below shows very light East wind and that means
when you are not moving it will be quite easy to get Solar Heat Absorption,
particularly if your outer layers are dark. Find a Quiet, Safe Trail-Side Sunny
Spot and you’ll feel internal heat in under 3 minutes.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
