@ #Tremblant.
We don't often use such a complex lead sentence, but the "Outstanding Technical Merit"
part is a vitally important point of understanding for all Skill Levels from
Never-Ever Beginner, right on up to "World Cup FIS Race Training Global Expert”
when it comes to understanding why Tremblant is so very fine right now.
Within the “Skill Level Rating System” i.e., Green-Beginner, Blue-Intermediate,
Black-Expert, Tremblant currently offers Terrain that is exceptionally fine. It may
seem contradictory, but it is easy to challenge one’s self within one’s own Skill Rated
Terrain due to the huge Trail variety that progresses gradually to increased difficulty
while maintaining a consistency in groomed surface quality that is essentially the
same, regardless of skill level.
To put it in more practical or literal terms, the quality of the Groomed Surfaces is
close to identical on P’tit Bonheur(Green), Beauchemin(Blue) and Superieur(Black)
for “Across the Board” Examples. This uniformity permits easy learning advancements
as Students can rely on a similar feel underfoot as they move up the difficulty ladder
of steepness.
Basic Technical Merit Summary:
This is a Tremblant Ski Conditions Report first and foremost, and even thought we've
focused a lot on the literally Awesome Natural Wonders of Pure Winter Scenery here,
it is those exact Natural Winter Snow Wonders that have delivered the foundational
Components of the Technical Merit referred to above.
The first component is "Cold".
You May Not Have Winter or any related Sports Without "Cold".
Cold gets into the Mountain as frost and acts as a stabilizer for
anything on top, i.e., ....
The second component "Snow".
Snow at a Ski Resort at this point in History, 2015, comes from
Mother Nature and Locally Manufactured or "Blown" Snowmaking.
It should be noted that even with only Component #1, "Blown"
can be produced in sufficient quantities to initiate a Season and
that makes #1 the Trump Card, so-to-speak. It should also be
noted that even in the days before Snowmaking, Tremblant
has had both a history of generous natural snowfall, as well as
the cold to retain it.
The Third component is "Tremblant Mountain Crews".
This is one of the most Talented Mountain Operations Groups on the Face
of Planet Earth. There are over 7 DECADES of experience to draw upon
for the Intuitive Wisdom necessary to consistently produce the Best Possible
Surface Preparation when dealing with the Immense Forces Mother Nature
can Sweep over an entire Continent in anywhere between the Whim's of
a few Hours, to the Trends of a whole Season. Tremblant Mountain Crews
are the "Magic" in this equation.
The combination of these things at Tremblant, the unique fingerprint of each
days Ski/Board Very Fine Winter Alpine Snow Sports Trail Surfaces, is why People
have been Coming back To Tremblant for 76 Years.
It is also this combination that makes Tremblant so very worth every effort that
can be made to be here today.
Contemplating ways to describe or express the very highest levels of Eastern North
American Ski and Snowboard experience possible, as they exist at Tremblant right now,
lead us to the thought that it is nothing more than the basics as outlined above, but
in such abundance that the synergistic outcome elevates the standard far above
historical averages.
People Who Learn To Ski/Board Well At Tremblant, Can Ski/Board Well Anywhere On Earth.
