As fine as the day is, there are going to be 2 things that keep traffic lower
than we might normally see for a Sunny Feb. Sunday.

1) It’s “Cool” outside... Really Cool, like as in -22C when the lifts open.
Up at the summit, temps are a wee bit below that, and that’s enough
to keep a few folks curled up in front of a warm fireplace, but only a few...

2) The really big thing is... a phenomenon we identified some years ago as
the “Super Bowl Dis-Continuum”, whereby life as we know it for some
rabid Football Fans, comes to an abrupt halt for a period of hours for
the better part of daylight hours for one Sunday per annum, which
just happens to be today.

We have no idea personally, why anyone would give up such Prime Skiing
or Boarding to sit in front of a TV all afternoon pigging out on snacks and beer
to watch teams of grown men try to give each other concussions, but we’re
Ski Freeks, so our lack of empathy or understanding may be excusable.

In any event, today will likely see less traffic, so those who are prepared for the
weather are going to have some of the very finest Ski/Board Conditions in
Eastern North America all to themselves.

Page under Progressive Assembly... more later as time permits,
but in mean-time... the Skiing and Boarding are Excellent,
however it is quite cool out there, so bundle up!

Weather Notes:

The daytime high temp is going to make it up to somewhere around -17C
by mid-aft., at least the winds should be light to moderate from the West,
coming up the Mountain over McCulloch and crossing over toward Duncan
and Lowell Thomas. This cool trend is going to be around until Wednesday
morning and it is forecast to include Snow on Monday and Sun on Tuesday.

Conditions Notes:

Please Note: Review trail status icons/legend in graphic below
for individual trail detail.

Considering that a statistical 20 CM Snowfall greeted everyone yesterday
morning and there were some thicker bits...

The Conditions are going to be Out-Of-This-World with the Grooming Cycles
adding compaction, and the Over-night Cold Cryogenically or Freeze-Dry
enhancing the dryness of the crystalline top layers.

For about 95% of the Groomed Surfaces, they may be capable of holding more
edge/cornering force than even Experts can maintain for more than portions of
a run at a time.

For Beginners and Intermediates, the forgiveness increases noticeably after every
pass of the Groomers and Mountain Crews do pay particular attention to Green
and Blue Terrain so that there’s ample “easy” helping to foster positive, confidence
building, shared experience.

Tremblant wants everyone to have fun!

The Current, and Very Stable Winter Weather Pattern is forecasted to
remain with us for at least the next 2 weeks which is going to extend
the Equally Stable and Very High Quality “Pure Winter” Snow Surface
Conditions.

The reference to “Quality” can not be understated when the number of
consecutive days of totally uninterrupted Sub-Zero days exceeds a Month,
making these next 2 weeks truly the “Sweetheart-Valentine” time of
this years season!
