T360 Apres Ski Prime Time Late Eve. Edit @ 10:30 P.M.
Let This Be Your Frame Of Reference, Tremblant du Jour.
2.17.15.Flying.Mile.Peak.Views.Proof.Of.Corduroy.Summit.b.jpg
This pic pretty much sums up 95% of the desirable qualities of Tremblant, now,
for the past several weeks and for the next several weeks. Conditions have and will
continue to incrementally improve and be refined to standards of consistency
that should eclipse the outright number of consecutive days for any memories
we have personally for 40 seasons, and stat’s we have for the last 8 years or so. Period.
It’s Very Simple...
If you could be at Tremblant, but you make another choice, you’ve made a bad
decision and you’ve got the wrong plans.
Milder temperatures, Light Breezes that could rarely even be felt at all, Bright
Sunlit Surfaces, Snow that Skis like Satin but hold an Edge like a Surgeons Scalpel,
Uncrowded Slopes, Low to No Lift lines(Where we were anyway), Very close to
Glitch-Free... plus any other positive attributes you can think of that would describe
a Classic, Beautiful, Easy and 100% Wall-to-Wall Winter Day at Tremblant.
Best Day of the Season, So Far?

Tremblant Parc Fans...
The South Adrenaline park looks like it’s in amazing shape. The jumps
are big, clean and look as though they were created by a Sculptor with a
deadly straight eye.

What Did We Learn At Tremblant Today?
There’s no end to the fun that can be experienced by all ages and all skill levels
at Tremblant where you can take your Ski/Board Obsession as far as you’d like to go!
2.17.15.Biere.En.Bas.at.Johannsen.Class.in.Session.c.jpg
Virtually everything we hoped for today in the way of relief from the extreme
cold(that’s been covering almost all of Eastern North America), came true and
the User Friendly Utility has elevated the current Tremblant experience to heights
of quality that should please even the most fussy Skiers or Boarders.
More in the morning, but if you can go tomorrow... do it.

96(*) Open Trails on the 4 Sides of Temp Inverted, Summit Warmer Than Base, #Tremblant!
The Tremblant.ca Official Snow Report states:
”We also have a temperature inversion happening this morning;
it's a bit warmer at the summit at -19C.”
That’s a huge advantage up top, as the thermometer down here is seems
like it was welded to -30C for quite a while after we first looked at it about
3 hours ago. It has moved significantly in the last hour though, up to -22C now,
so there’s legitimate reason to hope that upward momentum will continue.
Sorry for delays this morning, but unfortunately, the Car Battery does not know it’s
warmer anywhere right now and the Cool base temps have evidently affected more
than just a few, as Road-Side Assistance is “Experiencing Unusually Heavy Call Volume”.
Turns out that means about 2 hours...
In the mean-time, The Weather Network forecast is still showing a daytime high at
-13C and we’d be overjoyed to see that materialize A.S.A.P.!
After the recent “Howling” wind component, the most favourable thing we see is
the very light to calm winds in this forecast. The temp’s are soooo much easier to
handle without the wind and in terms of User Friendly, the Low/No wind will
make it seem far warmer automatically.
One of our Favourite "Canaries In The Coal Mine”, Measures of both Sector
and Mountain Conditions Health, Is Singing a Very Happy Tune, Loud And Clear!
Nord.North.Banzai.Mid.View.Up.b.jpg
When This Trail Is This Good, You KNOW...
The Skiing will be Fantastic, Excellent, Very Very Fine, ...maybe even...
“Supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus”, if you believe such a word exists!
(Google it if you need to...)
Anyway, the reason the whole Tremblant Alpine Snow Sports Trail Network is going
to be so good is another Cryogenic, Freeze-Dried Overnight Temp. and Grooming
cycle, which is the latest in a string of such cycles that is now just around 50
straight, consecutive days of uninterrupted Pure 24/7, Sub-Zero Winter Conditions.
You will need to be here to fully comprehend that and we do not expect you to
believe us until you get here yourself. No words we have can accurately convey
the complete scope of the performance for ANY SKILL LEVEL at Tremblant as it
is now. “Best of Season” would have to be one generalization, but regardless
of our enthusiasm, we suggest you do your own supporting field work at Tremblant
as soon and as often as you can. You can get back to us on that after your “Testing”
is done.
---------------- Noon Update: ------------------
Compared to recent, Very Easy -13C @ Summit. Field Report
just texted in... Conditions "Groomed, No Ice and Excellent!”

More following after Last Run, and with these very much more workable temps,
we hope to put up a major pictorial Apres Ski edit.

Bring Back The Memories...
Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(
If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
