T360 Apres Midnight, Apres Ski Under Construct @ 12:45 A.M.
There’s Good News, and Bad News, But the Bad News Is Good News...
The Good News Is that there’s a Large Amount Of New Snow over the last
30 hours or so...
2.25.15.Summit.Beauchemin.Snowfall.White.Out.d.jpg
The “Bad News”, if you can call it that, is that it’s not the same as
yesterday, there’s quite a bit of tracked-up semi-washboard, irregular depth created
by “Too Much Snow” for Beginners and Intermediates. BUT... “Too Much Snow”
is never a problem at a Ski Resort...
2.25.15.Lowell.Thomas.Haut.Significant.New.Fresh.Snow.c.jpg
So, the more "Good News" is that each evening may see big advancements in the
integration of the Irregular Loose Snow, into the Groomed Terrain.

95(*) Open Trails on what could be argued as some of the Very Best
Total, Comprehensive, All Encompassing, Wall-To-Wall, Top-To-Bottom,
Side-To-Side, Allover #Tremblant Conditions in a Long, Long Time.
(Please Note: Flat, Grey, Low Contrast Light, Bad Photo, Great Skiing Caveat)
Will Today Be A Repeat Of Yesterday’s “Best Of Season(s)"?
Could Today Be the Best Ski Day You’ve Had In Decades?(**)
(We think it might be ... easily.)
One way we summarized the situation a few days ago was the concept of:
“Average is Excellent” at Tremblant right now, and we stand by that assessment
fully, and even more-so today because with the combination of about 55 days of
Cool Weather and Daily Grooming Cycles, the Mountain has attained a new and very
tangible level of Universal Excellence over the entire range of Groomed Trails
that evidently was the result of crossing a Positive Tipping Point as of Yesterday.
To Find Out, you’ll need this, From yesterdays “Last Run"...

thinking Tremblant... mmmm ...Go, or no Go???

(**)It’s Not Just Us...
Conditions Are Arguably Some Of The Finest In Any Seasonal Memory.
We rode up the Duncan Quad a couple of days ago with a very interesting
person of obvious elder years who was decked out in quite a bit of Current
High-Tech Race Gear, including Pro-Level Cold Weather Ski Team Parka/Warm-ups.
It turns out this well equipped Gentleman was a former Instructor/Coach within
the Teaching Staff at Tremblant with Ernie McCulloch in 1965.
In addition to many fascinating comments about the evolution of Ski Instruction
since those days, perhaps the single most revealing thing he said was that
in his opinion, the Tremblant Skiing right now is the Best He can Recall in at least
30 or more Years.
“Anecdotal” and “Subjective” Evidence ??? For sure, but the Historical References
certainly contribute a big bunch of credibility to the idea that now begins to form a
consensus of opinion when added to the tide of similar comments we’ve been
hearing, plus the current record of Consecutive Sub-Zero Winter Days.
When Multiple Sources Independently Begin To Say The Same Things
About Tremblant’s Current Height Of Excellence within Historic Reference,
It Gives Us Confidence To Enthusiastically Report and Endorse Agreement.
The Possibility Exists that Experienced Tremblant Regulars are collectively
sensing the Very Special Uniqueness of these conditions as “Best Of” in terms
of all their previous standards.
The “Stats” Freaks will point out we’ve had seasons with more total snowfall, BUT...
ANY OF THOSE SEASONS... have also had one, two, or more January, February Thaws,
We’ve had NONE this Season, and as we’ve said before...
“Cold” Trumps All Other Winter Factors, and No One We’ve heard of is disputing
the Records Set for Day-in, Day-out consistency in that measurement for this Season.
The Benefit is that any of the Future Near-Term Tremblant days should carry these
impressively fine conditions forward with almost complete certainty.

Wed. Weather Notes:
Starts @ -16 C, Rises by Noon Hour to -10 C, under overcast Sky in Morning,
“Flurries", but we feel there may be “Snowfall” at least in some pockets
on the Mountain. Possible partial Clearing in Aft., Moderate Westerly Winds coming
up the Mountain from Beauvallon, same as yesterday, but quite a bit warmer.
