We are not sure if we will ever see as much, in as Excellent Condition, as we have now.
We’ve been saying it for months... “Cold” Trumps every other winter factor.
When it comes to this Season, there’s been no shortage of that and Crews
Here have Capitalized on that with a New Level of Surface Refinement.
There are some that say it may be the best “Winter” for Skiing they’ve ever seen.
To keep it in perspective, Tremblant has Trails, even Sectors or Sides that have
this quality in Terrain EVERY SEASON, Just not on as much coverage as the
record, sequential, number of Sub-Zero Days has facilitated this Season,
nor in the Duration of the Record sustained days and weeks we’re enjoying
this Season.
Based on the depth, measured in Metres Deep, the Frost is into the Mountain
possibly farther than anytime since the last ice age..... that might be a stretch...
but the point is, that the Ambient Cold Storage Reserve of the Mass Of Tremblant...
will take many, many weeks to bleed off the very deep penetration of Frost, so...
Spring Skiing At Tremblant Will Be Remarkable! A day will come when the Sun will
actually be “Warm”, not just feel Warmer, it’ll get hot... but for longer than maybe
anyone alive can remember, the “Cold” in the Mountain will hold fast for weeks,
possibly months, and we think there’s a strong probability the Spring Skiing
Coverage Quality will be Record Setting as well.
The Significance of This Shot is Just “Awesome”.

For Beginners and Intermediates, Correctly Matched Trail Selection to Actual
Personal Skill Level is Critical for both Safety and Enjoyment.
For Today and the next few immediately following days, Mountain Crews Grooming
Efforts will also make a critical difference to the User Friendly Utility of all the
regularly Groomed Trails.
It can take up to about 3 consecutive days to catch up with this much Snow
and the normal sequence seems to be generally, to work from the Green Rated
Trails up to the Blue’s and Black’s, but there is no set order due to the highly
variable way that the Trail Conditions are affected by different Wind Directions
and the shapes and dimensions of any Drifting.
2.25.15.Summit.Snowfall.Rope.Tow.Entrance.b.jpg
In the Mean-time, one important thing for All Skill Levels, is that the Snow
is so light, that is does not present any serious difficulty as long as Speed is
Appropriately reduced to allow for complete control at all times.
Weather Notes:
Totally Super Sunny! Initial -22C Cool Rising to -14C
and Low to Moderate Nor-West Breezes.
