The first ride up the Gondola gets us a look at Super Smooth Surfaces that
seem to hold every promise of exactly the kind of performance we were hoping
for and Skiers passing below carving out razor sharp tracks simply confirm that
reality.
Once you actually get onto the Snow, a close look at what’s under your Skis shows
that any dampness that may have been there when the Snow fell 36 hours ago,
has disappeared, and what’s left is a very fine, icing sugar, Crystalline Snow
with excellent Edge and Speed qualities that is a Joy to be on.
Everywhere you go... the Carving performance on the Groomed is utterly reliable.
The only deviation we found from the Official Open Trail List, was Upper Nord, North
“Rope Tow” which was shown on the list as Open, but when we got there, was Closed,
and it was obvious there was a significant refinishing going on. We’re not sure
what it’s going to look like, but at the very least, it will be very well Groomed!
Tomorrow is going to be similar, but about 7 Degrees C Warmer... daytime
high forecast at Zero C! Super Easy, very pleasant, genuine Sunny “Spring” !!!

72(*) Open Trails On South and North Sides of #Tremblant.
No Lines, No Waiting, No Traffic, No Delays, No Crowds...
For Truly Dedicated Ski/Board Fanatics... who have the discretionary ability
to attend at Tremblant now, a very private world of Pure Winter Performance
awaits.
Being enthusiastic about “Winter” at this stage, may get eggs thrown in your
general direction, because frankly, almost everyone you speak to has similar
“Enough is enough” sentiments, and what most folks seem to want is for the
seasons to actually change and move on...
We’ll just have to take the eggs... Spring will inevitably make its way into
the region, but until then, the remaining days in this Historic, incredibly
intense Winter may hold some of the very sweetest Ski/Board Conditions
of any Spring before, or following.
Despite the closure of Soleil and the Edge during mid-week, the South and North
remain 100% Open(**) with Base Coverage at quality levels of Universal Excellence
and as Skiers who thrive on "Last Runs"... we have no doubts that today, and every
day to follow until the lifts stop turning, is going to be Superb... there’s just way too
much Snow around here to be anything else.
Speaking of “Until the Lifts Stop Turning”... here is a graphic from the U.S. NOAA,
NCEP, showing the projected Temp ranges compared to normal, from now until
the end of the season.
The Colour Code Scale indicates the number of degrees above or below normal.
Left Side Graph, to end of March..... Right Side Graph, first 10 days of April. Apparently, we get Winter, ‘till just about Summer.
Weather Notes:
-20 C, rising fairly quickly under a Very Sunny Sky to -7 C.
Periodically gusty Nor-West Winds, so once again coming straight up
Beauvallon to cross the Summit heading for Duncan.
On the North, Lee side wind sheltered zones will be very nice and no
matter where you are, the scenery will be spectacular.
Conditions: Absolutely Wonderful...
