The Weather is still much more Winter-Like than we might expect for the end
of March, beginning of April, so despite some potential rain in the forecast, which
could actually come as Snow.... we’re looking forward to very easy temps now.
Weather Notes:
We’ve had a Cryogenic Overnight with Summit Temps down to
around -19C. This will have generated some truly Outstanding
Snow Surfaces for today.

Additional Apres Ski Weather Notes:
and draft for Thursday, posted Wed. @ 9:45 P.M.
Hourly Temperature and Precipitation Forecast:
Wednesday Night through to Saturday Apres Ski.
It would appear as though “Spring” is going to make it’s entrance
at approximately Noon, Thursday.
If it happens the way it’s forecast, this will be the first real episode
of “Spring” so far this season. That’s almost unbelievable. Normally,
by the first of April, this region might have had several rainy day incidents
in the form of “January Thaws”, "February Thaws”, March “In Like a Lamb,
Out like a Lion”(or visa-versa), “Spring” temp. cycles, etc., etc.
These perfectly normal swings from below to above the Zero C freezing mark
are followed by the typical recovery processes, but since way back at the end
of December this season... we’ve had none of that since the New Year... so far...
The consequence has been the perpetuation of remarkably fine Ski/Board
conditions over a Groomed Base that is so stable and resilient that even at
this date, it shows almost no deterioration in either Square Area Coverage
or Surface Quality.
The Un-Groomed Terrain is more variable and there are natural hazards
that are subject to factors including traffic wear, wind eroded depths
over and around land contours such as crests, steep pitches or narrow
trail constrictions for just a few examples. Caution, reduced speed and
absolute instantaneous stop/braking capability is essential on all Un-Groomed
explorations.
