72(*) Open Trails on the South and North Sides of #Tremblant
Your Skis Are Calling You...
for some Excellent Spring Skiing!
“Spring” Arriving at Tremblant Today, Just after lunch?
If it happens the way it’s forecast(see graphic below), this will be the first
real episode of “Spring” so far this season. That’s almost unbelievable. Normally,
by the first of April, this region might have had several rainy day incidents
in the form of “January Thaws”, "February Thaws”, March “In Like a Lamb,
Out like a Lion”(or visa-versa), “Spring” temp. cycles, etc., etc.
These perfectly normal swings from below to above the Zero C freezing mark
are followed by the typical recovery processes, but since way back at the end
of December this season... we’ve had none of that since the New Year... so far...
The consequence has been the perpetuation of remarkably fine Ski/Board
conditions over a Groomed Base that is so stable and resilient that even at
this date, it shows almost no deterioration in either Square Area Coverage
or Surface Quality.
The Un-Groomed Terrain is more variable and there are natural hazards
that are subject to factors including traffic wear, wind eroded depths
over and around land contours such as crests, steep pitches or narrow
trail constrictions for just a few examples. Caution, reduced speed and
absolute instantaneous stop/braking capability is essential on all Un-Groomed
explorations

Bring Back The Memories...
Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(
If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
