We start out at -5C, but the solar energy of the brilliant
sun will quickly take us above freezing to somewhere around +8!
Good Grief, Charlie Brown, that's almost Beach Weather!
Speaking of Beaches, when things get super sunny and +8C...
Bikini Alert! ... Yup, every once in a while these conditions
bring out the "showoff" in some folks!
Depending on just how quickly the thermal transfer occurs,
Magic Hour(s), when the Mountain transitions from overnight,
sub zero "Firm" conditions to "Soft" spring corn snow will vary,
but we predict that it will be aprox. 10:00 A.M., and first, in the
places where the sun directly faces the surfaces.
So then, runs like Geant and Superieur will warm up, then the Soleil
sector, and finally on to Taschareau, McCulloch and the bottom half
of the South Side will follow by just around noon.
Other areas of the Mountain that will not get so much direct solar energy,
like the left side of the North as you look down from the summit, will take
longer to soften.
