Flip back to Winter...

At least in the temperature department with a projected low
at -21C by 08:00 A.M.

Today will see a 21C rise in temps, but not until 5:00P.M., which
is a bit odd, but there you have it anyway. This morning we are
stuck under an Arctic air mass and it is "Chilly".

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE... it will be Gloriously SUNNY, all day!

DO NOT FORGET YOUR SUNCREEN.... Today is a day when Solar
energy will "sneak up" on you.

The cold air keeps you from feeling the full effect of the rays
you are getting.

On top of that, the beautiful white surfaces you are riding on
reflect a lot of these rays back up at you, so you get the rays
going both ways.

Bottom line.... you need sunscreen so you won't damage those
sensitive cheeks, noses and any other exposed bits! ... besides
which, sunscreen helps prevent that "racoon" look that seems
to be popular in Ski Area Bars after a day like today.


Work continues on the construction of all the terrain features
for the Big Spin Event.

Bit of a mixed bag today in terms of the snow, but in a good way

Morning: Empty, groomed, grippy slopes. Once again, great for practicing those carved turns
Lunch time: Quiet, but the odd ice patch would catch me off guard so had to keep on the powder trail on the side of the slopes. Short radius turns a must!
Afternoon: Still quiet (where is everyone?), slushy slopes, especially on some of the lower runs. Great spring skiing/boarding

As for the weather: Sun, Sun, Sun!
