T360 Apres Ski Edit Under Construct @ 5:30 P.M.
There’s More Than One Way To Check Out The Snow At Tremblant...
Above and Below: These two pic’s are of basically the same space, but obviously shows
that Beauvallon can be viewed from three way different places. The above was taken
from an Old Village Hillside and the below was taken from the ground on Beauvallon.
You can Ski, You can Sightsee from the local hiking vantage points, You can Sightsee
from a Helicopter. The views from each have their own unique perspectives and it’s fun
to Sightsee at Tremblant no matter which way appeals to you!
The North had more universally good Skiing surfaces with less ice underfoot.
P’tit Bonheur was it’s usual self, a very fine learning environment 99.9% of
the time.
Rope Tow and Rigodon remained publicly Open and La Traverse remained
Race Training designated.
Below:
Even though the North had more User Friendly in an overall sense, the
South had good snow too. The shot below on Beauvallon Haut, upper,
shows a skier(in White Jacket), using one of our favourite descent strategies
which is to use the packer/groomer ridges(or alternately trail edges) where
there always seems to be a very soft line, no matter how slick the centre may be.
It’s entirely fair to point out that the Official Tremblant.ca Snow Report
and their Blog as well, state that Versant Nord, the North sides P’tit Bonheur
is the only beginner route to Base level. This of course, implies that Beauchemin
Bas(lower) is suitable for beginners and we would support that based on todays
experience.

18(*) Open Trails on South, North Slopes at #Tremblant.
The Temp goes down...
The Open Trail Count goes up!
Everything's moving in “The Right Direction”!
With the rapid drop in temp’s to well below zero, there’s going to be an
obvious consequence in surfaces that were heated up to +15C within
the last day and a half.
There will be Icy substrates. There will also be good machine generated granular
top layers, however their thickness may be variable and definitely subject to
Mountain User Traffic during the course of the day.
Whatever things start out as, will be different by the end of the day. That means
paying close attention to evolving conditions will be necessary, particularly where
the loose granular top layers are being moved around and any potentially icy
portions become exposed.
