“Filling In The Blanks” ... Two of the main Summit Level Trails between Erick Guay and
McCulloch are “Zig-Zag” and “Vertige”, both of which have not yet been Open, both
of which now have Snowmaking... Opening in ??? Not sure, but "Soon”!
While the day started out practically cloud free, it was not long before
the cloud began to materialize, and not long after that, the Snow began to fly!
Amazing Sun, Blue Sky, Cloud, Snow... All at once!

of Conduct while using the Open Alpine Snow Sports Trail Network.
Skiing and Snowboarding are sports that have risk elements that can be substantially
reduced by simply complying with the common sense rules of the “Code”. The “Code”
can be found Printed out in full, on every Official Trail Map. Skiers and Boarders
responsibility to the Code is printed on every Lift Ticket/Pass, and every single
Mountain User needs to be aware of, and obey the code for the safety of everyone
in attendance.

Ski/Board conditions today somehow developed some icy substrates in some areas.
One example was Versant Nord, North Side “Rigodon”, that descends parallel to the
Lowell Thomas Triple chair. It seems to be a combination of traffic and the pre-existing
base that has moved a lot of the loose snow off to the sides creating a slick centre
that requires slow, deliberate complete turns in order to maintain control.
At this stage, with a little ice creeping into the conditions mix, it’s vitally important
to make all your first pass explorations very cautiously for the first pass in order to
confirm the control capability of the Surfaces.

Official Trail Status Data this morning shows both Versant Nord, the North Side
and Edge Sector as 100% Open. This is an excellent sign of Seasonal Maturity
in the established base on the Groomed and Opened Trail Network. It is also
an excellent sign of expanding Un-Groomed Experts only Terrain, however
in those areas, constant scanning and caution with appropriate speed slow
enough to avoid natural hazards that may be encountered, are essential
for “Best Results".

Of course, by now you’ve figured out that the Tremblant Scenery is so
Beautiful that it’s not easy to describe with words, and we have to say
as well, that even the best of cameras fall short of putting yourself in these
pictures for the overwhelming grandeur of actually being in the centre
of all this Mother Nature’s Snow White Winter Wonderland.
The truth is that Artists have been trying to capture this scenery for
hundreds of years, there are Historic Fine Art Paintings of this regional
scenery that are worth very big, 6 Digit Prices at this time of writing....
and you can Ski/Board through it all day, right here at Tremblant.

Conditions are Very Fine for over 90-95% of the Open Groomed Terrain.
There was a hint of firm slickness underneath in a few places yesterday,
but the fresher your edges on Skis or Board are, the less you would notice
anything like that in the first place.
Weather Notes:
Last night’s forecast showed Fog for all day here, but thankfully, that was
“incorrect" and the reality this morning is Brilliant Sunshine, and... at least in
parts of the adjoining South Resort Base Levels, no wind to speak of... so far.
Daytime high temps expected to get up to -8 C, with Nor-West light to moderate
breezes, so crossing the Summit from Nansen towards Duncan.
At these projected velocities, there will be many many wind sheltered trailside
spots where you will be able to feel “Heat” from the sun.
And... especially evident when sunny....
Has anyone else noticed the days are getting longer?
