64(*) Open Trails on 4 Sides of #Tremblant.

Today marks the first, full, 24 hr. period of “Post Thermal Event” in the
very normal range of Seasonal Temp swings that can and does include
“January Thaws” and “February Thaws” of varying degrees and duration.

What we have to be thankful for in this case is the very short exposure which
fortunately, was limited to a few hours as opposed to some thaws at this time
of year that history shows can or have gone on for days or a week.

As we wrote yesterday, one past rainy day has not done anything significant to
the pre-existing base. It continues to be our feeling that the reduction in the
Open Trail Count is simply a temporary resource management strategy to
optimize the quick return to quality and quantity while keeping an eye on the
long term Seasons durability goals.

Looking at the Long Range portion of the weather data below certainly indicates
a solid return to “Winter”, effective today... with some far more typical and consistent
sequential sub-zero days.

This is a Great Forecast pattern and we are encouraging all Tremblant Fans that
have the discretionary capability to get out during this period to make those plans
firm now.

We think the next few weeks could represent the very sweet “Best Of Season”
conditions we all appreciate so dearly when they occur.

The Days Are Getting Longer...

As the days get longer, Tremblant typically extends the Lift Open Hours, so we
also think you may find the first of those extensions occurring very soon...

Maybe this weekend? We’re not sure, but historically, the first week of Feb.
has usually seen a 15 minute addition to 3:45 P.M. for “Last Run” and we would
not be surprised to see that on the weekend?

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
