O.K., so now the worst of the Continental East Coast Deep Freeze Cold Snap is over.

All we have to look forward to is temps rising dramatically over the course of
Monday, New, Fresh Snowfall and Mild Sub-Zero Temps for the next two weeks at least.

Nice...

Our prediction... Best two weeks of Season coming right up????

At these Temps, Skis/Boards cease to work on the basic principles of
molecular thin, friction generated Water lubricity that we normally associate
with “Glide”. Skiing becomes more like going down a Sand Dune as Glide
is removed from the Gravity equation.

You could Ski Expo straight down the fall-line and outright friction will
still slow you down... if it’s open.

Boarders will need to have a foot out to traverse plateaus as the feeling
underfoot may seem like sandpaper.

That will revert to a more normal glide when the temps get back up to
somewhere around -23 C, later on.

It’s very temporary as this system is passing through within the next 30 hrs. or so.

Conditions Notes:

Please Note: Review trail status icons/legend in graphic below

Be Careful. Personal Injury to Exposed Skin can be caused by
frostbite in less than 120 Seconds in this environment.

Be especially careful with the Kids... you may want to wait for things to warm up
before rushing Little Johnny or Little Jill out the door this morning.

Progressive Page Assembly Notice... more later as time permits...

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
