96(*) Open Trails on the 100% White Winter Slopes Of #Tremblant.

If you don’t Like the Weather forecast...
Wait 5 Minutes and it might just Change...

Thank Goodness, because it’s now saying the +5 C “Warm” prediction
for the Wednesday/Thursday forecast has now been changed to a Cooler +1 C
that could make all the difference in the Tremblant World as far as the precipitation
outcome.

The “Messy” Winter Weather Warnings are still in place...

but with the typical -4C cooler Elevation Differential up on the slopes,
there’s now a much greater likelihood of Snow for the entire event.

Utility Notice For Beginners and Intermediates Regarding The Availability Of
The Best Possible Green and Blue Rated Groomed Terrain After Big, Messy,
HUGE Snow Events...

With Frequent New and Deep Snowfall Events, the “Challenge” level goes up for
all Skill Levels due to the rapid accumulations that take time to be assimilated
into the Base by the Packing/Grooming process(Depending on the Amount(s) of
Natural Snowfall Accumulations, this usually takes between 1 and 3 or 4 days over
the 4 Wide Corners of Tremblant’s 96 Trail Network).

That means there can be softness in the top layers that can be prone to Skier/Boarder
traffic generated Moguls and/or Tracked up irregular surfaces that may sometimes not
have the Smoothness Beginners and Intermediates are comfortable with or looking for.

So... Lets say you’re sitting at Home in Ottawa, or in the Departure Lounge at Heathrow
Airport wondering how to anticipate the Trails where you’ll find the most reliable,
consistent, predictable surface conditions when you get here tomorrow:

Using the Forum Topic Scrolling Feature...

In this case, you’ll only need to Scroll back through a week to tell,
but using the “Previous Topic” button to go back in time...

What you can do is look at the “Groomed” Icons in the Archived, Graphic, Open Trail
Chart and Observe/Note those Icons that Appear on the same Trails, either Every Day,
or Frequently, to deduce which ones are going to be in the best daily condition.
The Most Obvious Trail examples are “Nansen” and “P’tit Bonheur”, because they
appear almost every day, but you’ll see there are many others that regularly appear
as well, and because they get pack/Groomed the most, their surfaces are usually
the most stable.

Conditions Notes:

Please Note: Review trail status icons/legend in graphic below
for individual trail detail.

Page under Progressive Assembly, but today’s going to be a Most Excellent Day if
you can make it. A wee bit cool at -27 C early, before the Mountain Opens, but rapidly
warming to -5C by just after lunch.

Stat’s and Conditions-wise, we’re solidly in “Above Average” territory with the
massive amounts of Snow in the last week, so there’s every good reason
to anticipate those advantages being refined and optimized in the daily
Grooming Cycles that Tremblant’s Mountain Op’s are so dedicated to.

As we said 48 Hours ago:

"Experts who like Un-Groomed Terrain will still be finding Powder Lines at
Tremblant for the next 5 to 7 days..."

Stay tuned for “Extension” Notices on that one, considering
all the Snowfall Icons in the Long Range Below...

B) Two Week, 14 Day Long Range Forecast:

Other than the one, one-day Blip in this forecast model, there’s a big, big
benefit for the consistency of Conditions with the very steady Sub-Zero’s.
Even then, that one day @+1C, may well be hold below zero on all but the
lower portions of the South Resort Base Level and the precip. has a very high
probability of being all Snow on the Mountain at it’s cooler elevations.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
