You can Support Your Local #Tremblant Ski Patrol in at least 2 ways...
1) When there’s a specific Slope-Side Fundraiser like this Event.
2) By Knowing, Obeying, and Promoting the Skier/Boarder Code
of Mountain Conduct every day you’re on the Slopes.

Skiing/Boarding by the “Code” supports the Ski Patrol by reducing
accident/injury rates. It’s a Win/Win situation for the Patrol and
the General Skiing Public!

We Support The Aims And Objectives Of The Ski Patrol Every Single Day. Period.

“Know The Code”, Prevention Is The Best Safety!

Otherwise, It Was A Yin/Yang Looking Sky Over The Mountain.

The Temps barely broke Zero and we were actually happy to see the Overcast
as it kept any intense Solar energy from zapping the snow. The usual, lower,
Summit Temps were not as low as the normal spread, but the wind still had
bite in it, very obvious over the final unbound crest on the Duncan Quad.

The “Overcast” turned out to be Snow Clouds and there were lots of “Flurries”
around, periodically with a fair degree of thickness.

The “Flurries” were primarily over the Summit and Upper North Sectors, but as
you can see below, the Snow Cloud was rolling over the upper South Sectors
occasionally.

Clinically Speaking, the Skiing was Excellent, exactly the way we expected.

Realizing an Expectation is a very fulfilling, especially with Skiing because it’s
such a personal sense of connection with the sport. You’re not playing a “Team
Sport” when you Ski. It’s just you, your skis and the Mountain, so run after run
of well applied Skills over Completely Reliable, Totally Consistent, Purely Clean
Smooth, Fast, White Winter Snow becomes somewhat addictive if for no other
reason than Skiing is one of the most unique combinations of Fun, Personal Skills
Development and Accomplishment known to the Human Recreational Sports Experience.

Right Now... Tremblant is providing an almost ideal Skiing/Boarding environment,
arguably the finest, arguably the “Peak” Skiing experience in Eastern North America.

All you need to do is show up with you and your Skis.

Once in a Decade... Never Before In Recorded Weather Data...

These are two Points that have been raised in the last Three Weeks
as Mother Nature Blessed Tremblant with so much Snow in so little time
that if it did not break Depth/Time records, it surely came close.
The Net Effect is what you have today, that might be a once in a decade
short term, retained accumulation to Ski/Board on.

The important distinction here is the “Retained Accumulation” over “So Little Time”.

Stat’s show there are Winters with more total accumulations, but maybe only one
in recent history, say the last Decade, have come close to the rapid, deep, and
Very Fine Snow Quality that Tremblant Guests have had the privilege to Ski/Board
on over the past three weeks.

Not only have Tremblant Guests had all the immediate Fun and Benefit of Real,
Genuine, "Powder Snow Up To Your Knees” days, but the Positive Enhancements
to the Open Terrain will be enjoyed by all future Tremblant Guests, right up to
and including “Last Run” on Closing Day in April.

Not withstanding any or all of the Seasonal Average March/April Temperature Swings
that will include many Above/Below Zero Cycles and the typical “Firm” Mornings
and “Soft” Afternoons of “Spring Skiing”, there’s just way, way, too much Snow
around here to be anything other than outstanding coverage for many weeks.

This is especially true on the Groomed Terrain where Tremblant Mountain Crews
have used their Skills and Equipment to create and retain a Base that will become
even more resilient in the near future than it is today due to the daily Grooming
routine that is still adding density to the last Three Weeks of Snowfall. As that
density is achieved, the base becomes more wear and warm weather resistant
and we think that will be the most significant component of Total Seasonal Durability.

While “Spring” conditions are great for their own unique characteristics, it does mean
that the consecutive days of ‘round the clock Sub-Zero, Pure Winter, No Thermal
Influence may be coming to a close.

Savour The Moment...

Today may be the final genuine, real, Winter day, at least for the foreseeable near-term,
because there is a definite warming trend coming... like it or not.

It’s not all bad news though... the “Warm” is not so “Warm” as to be destructive
beyond normal seasonal changes and indeed, there are many encouraging aspects,
particularly in “User Friendly” regard to comfortable temperatures, longer daylight
hours with improved vision, contrast, all combined with a deep, hazard free base
that is so well established.

Let’s not forget either, that statistically, there are still very good chances
of more “Winter” to come in the latter cycles of March/April.
