T360 Mid-Eve. Apres Ski under construct at 8:30 P.M.
Morning was GREAT!(see Mid-Day Update Below), But at around 12:30
it did begin to rain a bit. There were periods of both Greater and Lesser
rainfall, and there were also periods of no rainfall within sectors.
It was apparent that the Afternoon Rain on the Mountain was moving over
it in bands of activity, so “Passing Through” as it were. Vision for those
wearing Goggles was very poor due to Rain/Mist/Water smear on lens
outer and water vapour/fog-up on lens inside. Vision for those wearing
Yellow Lens Safety Glasses was far better as their open sides allow air
circulation keeping lens inside from fogging and Yellow Lenses Restore
Contrast... So you could actually see far and well enough to dial in a wee
bit of Speed where it was safe with say, 50 to 75 metre vision forward.
By the time we got there, rain was just starting, but it never got into
anything like a “Downpour”, it was more like patches that moved around.
Without a Poncho, you did get wet... With a poncho, we were dry for the
whole afternoon, at least from the Knees up.
SKIING WAS FABULOUS ... Most people freak out with a little rain, but skiing
in the rain can be quite good, even very good, even very fine!, and that was
the case at Tremblant today.
Edge hold was great, Speed was selectively Great, but there was occasional
hydrodynamic drag, you could feel the brakes “On” in certain places.
Generally though, all you needed was a Poncho and away you go... Dry and Fun.
No Crowds either when “Damp” like that, but that was a big bonus for those
who were smart enough, lucky enough, to be ripping the whole place up all by yourself!
Our Best Chance For An Excellent Day Tomorrow...

Slightly Cooler tomorrow @ +5 C, so we’re hoping for more of the same “Fast”
that we found today.

The Really Big Question For Today Is...
What? No Wind?
2.8.16.What.No.Wind.Info.Crew.Weather.Observations.at.Le.Crete.b.jpg
Well, Besides “What? No Wind?” , which, by the way, looks like it’s going to be
a Wonderful “Today" repeat from “Yesterday”?
Can “ Today” match the Magically, Uniquely, Excellent, Fast, Fun, Performance of “Yesterday”?
We Sure Hope So!
It’s Never Surprising To Find Great Conditions at Tremblant, it happens every day,
even if it’s in the form of “Sweet Spots”, or Sweet Zones, or Sweet Sectors,
or Sweet Sides... there’s Always Great Skiing within the Open Terrain at Tremblant...
The Surprise Yesterday was the unexpected Extent of the Overall Excellence in
Surface Conditions that did not seem to have any limits, as both our own experience
and the experience of others we spoke to during the course of the day were saying
exactly the same things... Skiing Tremblant... Skiing ALL OF Tremblant... Was Excellent!
It was truly a day of Universally Magical, High Performance Wonder!
FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS!
"Wise Skiers And Snowboarders Are Going Great Lengths To Be At Tremblant."
From Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario Yesterday(and we Quote):
“P’tit Bonheur Is The Best Trail I’ve Ever Skied On.” Period.
(Thanks Glenna!)
(Please Note: Flat, Low Contrast Ambient Light Conditions Do Not Do This Trails Pictured
Conditions Any Justice. You Do Actually Have To Be Here To See For Yourself.)
We can testify to the conditions that generated that Wonderful Skier Feedback
regarding P’tit Bonheur...
As Usual... P’tit Bonheur was 99.9% EXCELLENT, from Top-To-Bottom, and Side-To-Side,
as this Virtually Flawless Masterpiece Of Simple Brilliance in Trail Condition and Design
never fails to impress.

Should be an Interesting Apres Ski, but so far, there’s actually been a fair
and unexpected amount of Brightness in the thin Overcast, so there’s a good
possibility that any rain may be only in what may seem to be quickly passing
bands of active precip.? Who knows for sure? No one, so we’ll just have to try
to get out there and see what it does.
