The Open Groomed Alpine Ski/Board Trail Network at Tremblant is in
such fine condition that anything less than actually being on the trails...
will fall way short, in terms of adequate description.

Words will simply not do justice to either the Qualities of the Performance,

Tremblant Mountain Crews ALWAYS have great Skiing/Boarding surfaces in April,
however the unusually large square area of Open Terrain for this date is what is
making this April of 2016 so noteworthy.

There are a select group of people who would be very happy to see “Winter”
all year, and while that is never possible, the closest thing Mother Nature
could do for that group is to provide “Winter” right up to, and including closing
week, and that is exactly what we have here now.

It does not feel like “Spring” at Tremblant right now. The last 3 days have felt
100% Winter, Skied 100% Winter, Performance 100% Winter, and Today,
according to the Weather Forecast, it’s going to Snow like 100% Winter... up to 15 cm’s!

Over the past several days, the closest sign of “Spring” has been the long
hours of direct Sunlight that make 4:00 P.M. feel like Noon in January.

The functional utility of the Sun higher in the Sky is a joyful delight with
much enhanced contrast and overall visual ease because you can see
all the minor surface variations with clarity sufficient to navigate without
the long shadows or lower light intensity of the low January Sun.

Otherwise, ask anyone you know who’s been on the Slopes here at Tremblant
for the last few days, they feel more like fine end of January, beginning of February days.

Above: Kidz In Lessonz...

“I’m from Bermuda, we come here around Easter Every Year”
“I’m from New Jersey and we really like Tremblant a lot!”

Any Parent that’s had young kids on the Mountain knows that when you see a
Ski Instructor at any Lift Base with a Flock of Youngsters, it’s a responsible,
courteous thing to offer to assist with getting the Group up the lifts to the Summit.
So, those Kid-Comments above are from a ride up the Duncan Quad yesterday
with 3 Ski-School Kids we supervised up-bound, out of a big group waiting
at the Duncan Base.

We are constantly surprised at the far, distant places Families come to Tremblant
from, but we are never surprised to learn about the Multiple Repeats families
return to Tremblant for.

This annual Tremblant Family Ski Holiday Tradition is highly commendable on
several levels of technical merit. There are World Cup Gold Medal Skiing Champions,
Raised On The Slopes of Tremblant. There are Olympic Gold Medal Snowboarders,
Raised on the Slopes Of Tremblant. There are no finer places to bring your family to,
for World Class Learning, than right here at Tremblant. Period.

Weather Notes:

Partial Sunny to begin, then becoming Overcast and Snow Starting around noon.

Daytime high temp. at Zero C, Sud, South Resort Base Level. Winds Moderate to
Gusty, from the South, basically crossing the Summit from Duncan towards TGV/La Crete.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
