12.19.16.Apres Ski One Pic.File.Summary:

The Key Story At This Time: Is the Abundance of Newly Opened Trails
like “Duncan”, for only one example, that are Opened to what we consider
to be New Standards.

The Natural Contours of Many Tremblant Trails like Duncan,
come alive when they are groomed as Seamless as I-95.
For example...If You’re On A Short Radius, High Performance, Slalom,
Carving Ski, like our Atomic D2-SL’s... (Which You can actually
Carve at safe speeds when traffic is Low-to-no density), you can
Dance on the Contours of this Mountain. Using the powerful rebound
energy of a highly cambered Slalom Ski, hooked up along the
length of a Short 10.5, 11, or 12 Metre Turning Radius, it is possible to
make almost every turn in the air, gracefully floating 6 inches over the
crests and Arching Rail Tracks, like below, for the rest of the time.
(There are also people at Tremblant that have Telemark Bindings on
Atomic D2,SL’s because they know they’ll turn on a dime.)

Until we get the next one, here’s our Standard “GoTo” Tremblant, Groomed,
Carving Reference Pic.file:

Are You Ready For Duncan(and other Tremblant Openings) To Be Like This From Summit-To-Base on Open-Day-1?

Of course, Seasonal weather Changes will no doubt put Glitches
into every trail sooner-or-later, but to start with such a refined Base
is also no doubt a huge Seasonal advantage.

If You Want To... Experts.
You can turn your Quad’s into Jello in less than two hours of Hard Carving
at Tremblant. It is literally Finer, X 10, than any Gym on Planet Earth for the quality
of Vigorous Strength and Endurance Training Skiers/Boarders can have and
enjoy all the physiological benefit of.

If You Want To... Beginners.
Amazingly, it is Equally Fine for Beginners who experience Rapid Advancement
when Seamless Green Rated Trails can go on for up to 6 Kilometre’s in a single descent.

For All In Between... Relaxed Cruising at Tremblant takes on an Art Form as
the reliable consistency of surface quality helps you set your own pace.

How could you ever loose enthusiasm for such a Technically Excellent, Alpine
Ski/Board Environment of this Scope and Quality?

Mother Nature has put 4 Billion Years into Shaping the Unique Topography of Tremblant
and she is the only one who can make Granite Flow Over Fall Lines Like Big, Deep, and
Wide Rapids. You can feel that when you Ski here.

Moving on...

Lots Of Race And race Training Infrastructure In Place.

49(*) Open Trails on Versant Sud, South, And Versant Nord, North Sides of #Tremblant.
(Please Note: Soleil Sector Closed this week however we think there may be
significant development work in this sector that could realize a substantial
increase in Open Terrain there for the X-Mas Holiday period.)

The Joys And Benefits Of Early Season Performance Training.(**)
(**)Equally Applicable to ALL SKILL LEVELS From Beginners Up.

The Groomed Surfaces Open now at Tremblant are very “Forgiving”, that is to say
control inputs for steering, braking, stoping, turning, or any other forms
of directional or speed control, are “Easy” to initiate and execute to completion
for all Skill Levels on all their respective rated Terrain. From the “Green’s”(Easy) to the
“Black’s”(Difficult), these Groomed surfaces are fully optimized with the foundation of
Integrated Cold Formed Natural and Blown Snow that have rendered out superlative, low
friction, but very high traction and grip characteristics.

The Expert Carving Performance on the Groomed is Outstanding. The “Snowplow”
Beginners Learning Surfaces are Excellent for establishing those first confident
steps towards all Skills Progressions.

Above: Yesterday’s Opening of Nansen Bas, Lower, down to the Resort Base
from the previous Mi Chemin end, is a huge asset to the Mountain as it doubles the
descent options and gives All Skill Levels, but particularly Beginners and Intermediates
an easy slope to get back to the Sud, South Resort Base. Below: An added bonus
is the reduction in traffic over Beauvallon and all the the trails running parallel to
Beauvallon, down to, and including Johannsen, by Beginners and Intermediates, so all
these trails are far less prone to Mogul formations created by slow, short turning stress.

Technically, Fall still has a few days to go, but for those at Tremblant now, the look
and feel is 100% Winter!

Page under Progressive Assembly. A Cool Start Today For Sure, but...
the Skiing/Boarding are, at least clinically speaking, Excellent on the
Groomed Open Terrain.

Un-Groomed is also getting Generally Positive Raves from our Bushwhacking Friends,
but they tell us there are still significant Natural Hazards that are not yet completely
buried. The Early Season Coverage Off-Piste is good, but there is still risk for even
experienced Experts as the Snow sometimes camouflages what lies beneath.

Weather Notes:

-27 C, Rising to -19C at Noon and a relatively Balmy -15 C by 3:00 P.M.
Brilliantly Sunny, so far, but there’s a sort-of Upper Level Atmospheric Haziness
building. An Early, Pure, White Winter Day with a temp outlook that’s moving way up
in the next 24 hrs .

If you have the Discretionary Capability of Attending at Tremblant
for Excellent Early Season Conditions, you will be Rewarded with
Days on the Mountain that include all the Benefits of Vigorous Exercise
and Fresh Air in a Spectacular, Naturally Beautiful Setting.

The Bonus So Far This Season Is The Above Average Natural Snow
Accumulation as a component of the Alpine Trail Network development.

This has allowed Mountain Crews to Open New Groomed Terrain at levels
of Extraordinary Initial Quality. In some cases like Versant Nord, North
Side “Duncan”, this Initial Quality has been at Historic “Best Of” levels
we personally have not ever seen before.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
