12/24/16 #Tremblant Conditions
Posted: Sat Dec 24, 2016 8:59 am
83(*) Open Trails On All 4 Open Sectors Of #Tremblant.
If This Was The Only Thing We Posted For Today,
It Would Be Enough On It’s Own Merit.
What You See Is What You Get.Excellence.Period.
Other than that, it’s the First Day Of the Season With ALL SECTORS/ALL LIFTS OPEN!
Exactly the kind of X-Mas Gift we can relate to!
Sorry for late posting, however like many others with Christmas Seasonal Family
Travel commitments, it makes for “As Time Permits” reporting. Of course...
with a jump from 67 Open Trails to 83 Open Trails overnight, one does not
need to be a “Rocket Scientist” to figure out there’s a TON of Snow at
Tremblant and Conditions are commensurably Fantastic for annual
stat’s comparisons on this date.
The Open, Groomed Terrain is simply superb for Dec. 24th. The most noteworthy
achievement of Tremblant Mountain Crews has been the Opening of select Trails
to standards of high quality that neither we, or anyone we’ve talked to, have ever
seen before. The best example was last weeks Opening of Versant Nord, North Side
Duncan. From Summit-To-Base, Duncan opened in very close to Flawless condition.
No one can ever remember such a miraculous, beautiful, consistent, even, dependable,
high traction, low friction, finely rendered, silky smooth, ice free, fast, easy,
or "Je ne sais quoi" Opening of Duncan... Ever.
The Un-Groomed Hors Piste, Sous Bois, Glade and raw form Trails are a different,
but still good story though. No doubt, generous early natural snow, but also
no doubt, early season natural hazards too, so enthusiasm in the Un-Groomed
needs to be tempered with caution appropriate for the as yet young season
and the correspondingly early season conditions risks.
Weather Notes:

More Snow On the Way? ....Nice!
After a month of Snowy Weather, Tremblant has a “Mid-Winter” look.
Fortunately, it also has very close to Mid-Winter Skiing and Boarding
conditions too.

Christmas Present you could possibly give is... Skiing/Boarding at Tremblant!
