82(*) Open Trails On All 4 Open Sides Of #Tremblant.
Merry Christmas to all those who Celebrate!
And... It Will Be An Especially Merry Christmas If You’re At Tremblant Today
With 82 Open Trails on the Ski/Board Feast Of White Christmas, Winter Trails!
------------------ 8:13 A.M. Update -------------
Sunny! Nice!
(We’d almost forgotten what the Sun looks like, but... we’ve been easily
able to live with that because basically, it’s been Grey and Snowing
almost every day since Seasons Opening.)

---------------------------------------------
Wow, What A difference a Year Makes! Last Christmas, only 16 Open Trails
and +16C at Tremblant. People were playing Golf in Ottawa...
This Year, 154cm’s of recorded Snowfall and 82 Open Trails seems like a Nirvanic,
Dream World away...
But... The Reality Is... you do not need to pinch yourself, you are not having a Dream,
the reality is that Tremblant is an almost indescribable White Winter Alpine Ski and
Snowboard Gift from Mother Nature so far this Season. If you’ve been here you know it,
if you’re here now, you know it, and if you’re planning to be here soon, all you need to
do is review the Season’s Archive here at Tremblant360 and you’ll realize the evidence
is irrefutable...
On Christmas Day, 2016, Tremblant is an almost Indescribably Excellent White Winter
Alpine Ski and Snowboard Gift from Mother Nature!
And Apparently, There’s More On The Way!!!
Weather Notes:
Part 1):
Much of the East Coast Region is going to experience about 30-36 Hours of Cool
with temps at sunrise down to -8C, from near Zero at midnight past. From there,
during Open Hours, at Sud, South Resort Base level, a range of -7 to -9 is
expected under all day durable Sunny Sky.
Winds should be moderate and from mostly North and Nor-West, so coming
up the Mountain from between Beauvallon and Nansen.
After Last Run, the temps should drop down to an overnight -17C or so.
That overnight dip up at Summit Elevations may be as cool as -21C.
The benefit for tomorrow is a good, swift, cryogenic shot that when combined
with Grooming, could freeze-dry some really fine and fast Groomed surfaces for
Monday.
Coming from the Overnight Zero mark Christmas Eve., the cooling process
could mean some potential Icy Bits today.
Part 2): Conditions Notes:
Mountain Crews are out every day promptly at Apres Ski, including Christmas
Eve., and the work goes on all night so you’ve got the Best Groomed Corduroy
in Eastern Canada, first thing this morning, right here at Tremblant.
What You End Up With This Morning Is This:
Above and Below: These are 2 file shots from the last Sunny day we had on 12/19,
and generally, with a bit more Natural Snowfall, they will look similar today with
the Sunrise. Of particular note in the one below is the Big Bump Snowmaking which
is extremely effective in covering all manner of uneven contours and natural hazards
on Erik Guay. Also interesting, and we might add, very popular with Kids of all ages...
the big bumps have been left exactly as they are for Opening this trail, as kind of
an Organic Terrain Park.
Tremblant Christmas.
You have never had a White Christmas quite the same anywhere else...
How can it be that there’s so much warmth on a crisp Christmas Eve.?
It’s The Genuine Good Will In The Hearts Of The People...
The Delights Of The Village In All Its Seasonal Charm....
The Magic Of Christmas At Tremblant!
82(*) Open Trails on the Archival Copy of Official Open Trails,
Grooming, Snowmaking, Lift Status and Mountain Conditions
for December 25th, 2016, Courtesy of Tremblant.ca Sorry for the highly evolutionary page assembly over the Holiday period.
We’ve got all kinds of Family Travel and Xmas Celebration Activities, so
it’s an “As Time Permits” process and we appreciate your patience.
Refresh page occasionally in case of additions or updates, but the main point
continues to be the outstanding quality of Early Season Groomed Open Terrain
at initial standards of high level finishing on many trails that we’ve not seen before.
These are conditions that make you look good because of their low friction, high traction
performance characteristics for all Skill Levels from Beginners up to Experts.
