One of the most User Friendly Aspects is that “Easy” currently Applies to All Skill Levels.

The Sign Says: “Welcome Beginners”, but in reality, we say Welcome All Skill Levels,
even on Nansen Bas(Lower), because even “Experts” need the occasional relaxed
descent in order to re-connect with the subtle nuances of Edge Sensitivity and Control.

Easy Nansen Conditions Make You Look Good!

Even Experts sometime need a “Cruising” run to take a break in a day of aggressive
Training or Hard Charging Black or Double Black Diamond Terrain Descents.
Additionally, Nansen and all the other Excellent Greens at Tremblant allow all Mountain
guests from Beginner to Experts, the chance to focus on refining basic elements of
balance, edge-set and co-ordination that are best developed when the Terrain is Easy,
so maximum attention can be applied to the smallest adjustments of body position in
relation to efficient technique.

When you have a Trail like Nansen...

As Gentle as any Golf Course Fairway For Over 6 Kilometres!!!...
there is no doubt
that regardless of Skill Level and Specifically For The Benefit Of All Skill Levels...
that you can establish a rhythm that will facilitate rapid Skills Development, no matter
where you are on your own ladder of progression.

“Easy” Expert Status...

For genuine Experts, even the Black Skill Rated Terrain has, and will continue to be Easy.

Above: This Versant Nord, North Side POV riding up the Duncan Quad, shows
this Great sample of Expert “Easy”. The quality of Duncan has never been so
constantly Easy or Refined from the moment it opened. From back in December,
to Today, Duncan has had more steady and superb surface conditions on a
reliable day-in, day-out basis than we can recall in recent, and maybe ever,
recollections.

With recent temp. swings that have largely been Sub-Zero on the Summit and North
Sectors, there has been a degree of softness that has made Conditions generally
“Forgiving”, i.e., you can still have pretty good grip/turning/control with less than
ideal Edge Tuned Sharpness.

With a return to more consistent winter range temps in the long range forecast, we’re
advising Tremblant trip planners to either bring tuned gear, or make provisions to take
your Skis/Board into the Tremblant Ski Shop(adjacent to the Cabriolet Base
Level), for their “Overnight” Discounted Tune-up.
Here is a copy of their Menu Pricing:

Conditions Notes:

The recent winter warm, just below, and/or at Zero C has created
softness that has been great for performance, but with a return
to below Zero C, there may be some steeper pitches prone to
either Icy or Slick portions. Initial Explorations of Terrain where
there are steeper pitches en-route, should be undertaken with
caution as pitches are approached and entered onto, until you
have verified safe descent.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
