We made an Error Of Omission In Last Nights Apres Ski that has a material effect
on today’s conditions and is a component of the “Best Of Season” call we made
based on the combination of all contributing factors.
Here’s the Pic. we forgot to include:
It was Snowing like CRAZY !!! at Last Run yesterday.
Sorry about that. Of course, the Accumulated Snowfall Stat’s show the numbers,
but the pic. shows the reality and that reality became exactly what we theorized
it would be today. In our opinion, today was the new “Best Day Of The Season”,
so far, and a big part of that was the integration of that new snowfall into last
nights Grooming cycle.
There’s no adequate way for “Words” to convey what we’re going to call the
"Superlative Fluidity" of the Alpine Snow Sports Trail Network at Tremblant.
The Snow is quite “Silky Smooth” underfoot, to the point that you almost feel
as if you are “Floating” over the surface, not “On” the surface. This is rare
phenomenon that happens not only with infrequency in time relation, but in spacial
relation too, as it may be limited to Sectors within the total Open area.
The difference today was this “Fluidity” in surfaces almost everywhere.
Please Note:
Trails Referred To Below are “Samples” of Overall Groomed Trail Conditions.
Surprise du Jour....
L’Algonquin:
L’Algonquin Was Virtually Flawless From Peak-To-Base.
It might be fair to say that Algonquin was the very best it has been since it was
Opened many years ago, 2010(?)
Officially rated as a “Green”, Algonquin can come alive with a bit of Speed for
all Skill Levels, and that was exactly how it was today. Smooth, Seamlessly Smooth,
with nary a pebble, a stick, not even so much as a single Ice Cube, or a snowflake
out of place.
Over on Versant Nord, the North Side, one of our most significant Trail Indicators,
“Banzai” was Groomed, again, and with surfaces that were all the equal of
Algonquin, but with it’s “Black Diamond” difficulty rating, a unique treat for
the steady stream of Experts on it’s narrow but incredibly beautiful Slope.
We frequently refer to Grooming “Refinements” and today saw one of the
ultimate ones we love to highlight whenever it’s Fresh and Obvious...
The Ravine Runout from the base of Banzai/Le Tunnel to Lowell Thomas Bas,
Lower was groomed perfectly. This is a short 15 metre connector and
it is normally deeply mogul’d and the most difficult part of using Banzai
or Le Tunnel if you want to exit to Gagnon/Beauchemin/Sissy Schuss.
Today, it was like the Super-Smooth On-Ramp to I-95!
Bottom Line on today’s Apres Ski...
In our opinion, it was the “Best day Of The Season”... so far!
Very Important To Note: Tomorrow Could Be Even Better!

All You Need To Know About Tremblant Right This Second...
Super Snow!!!
Super Performance!!!
As you might imagine these Versant Sud, South Side McCulloch scenes
being Great Conditions for Experts, the same advantage applies to Beginners and
Intermediate’s too. All Open, Groomed Green and Blue Rated Trail Terrain is in equally
Excellent Condition.
We Are Entering Into A Period Of Potentially Escalating “Best Of Season” Groomed
Conditions due to the quality of the pre-existing Base, additional new snowfall,
daily increments of Grooming refinements and sustained around the clock, 24hr.
Sub-Zero days that all combine synergistically to raise snow surface quality across
the entire array of Green, Blue and Black rated Terrain.
We often refer to February as the “Heart Of Winter” at Tremblant and beyond the
Symbolic connections that can be drawn to upcoming Valentines Day as a
celebration of “Sweethearts”, this period of Seasonal Maturity, evident by the 100%
Open Alpine Trail Network and all the aforementioned synergistic quality factors
should produce a very “Sweet” “Heart” that all Tremblant Guests can enjoy over
the next several weeks.
For The Specific Benefit of “Never-Ever’s”,
those who are skiing for the first time...
and/or...
Beginners and Intermediates, those with some,
or limited experience...
