T360 Middle of the Night Shift Apres Ski @ 2:15 A.M.
A Very Snowy Day In More Ways Than One...
Snow on the Ground... Snow in the Air...

From a Skier/Boarder Utility Standpoint...
Choosing Terrain Appropriately Matched To Actual Skill Levels
was, and will continue to be, critically important.
Today was the kind of day that a “Blue”, “Intermediate” Rated Trail like
Beauchemin Haut, Upper, can generate conditions where “Expert” Skills
are required. The Still-Soft Top Layers need repeated Grooming Cycles
in order to optimize density, as they are too soft to remain smooth
or flat for long. Traffic Turning builds Moguls quickly, and that makes it
very “Technical” Skiing/Boarding.

There are some low traffic Expert Trails that were actually easier than some
of the Blue’s, just because they did not have the big numbers on them, and
even if they may be narrower or steeper than many “Blue’s” ... at least they were flat.

Tonight’s Grooming will be everything to Tomorrow’s User Friendly!

Basically, practical photography was very close to impossible yesterday due
to wind-driven Snow particle density that overwhelmed Camera Control Function
in less than one run and put Camera into “Default Shut-Down Mode” with
snow-soaked, wetted-out control buttons. Black Camera Looked White with plastered
snow.
Challenging for Photography, but...
Perfect!!!... for Skiing!
We were on the Nord, North Side yesterday for a training commitment and...
We did a Test-Run down Lowell T/Banzai/mid/Marie-Claude Asselin/bas/Lowell T/runout,
traverse Gagnon/Sissy Schuss/mid/Fuddle Duddle/bas... took this pic below at foot of
Banzai, and by the time we got to Expo Quad Base... Camera default finished...

But Before That.... First Ride up Duncan Quad.
When was the last time, if ever, anyone can remember Les Rapides
under the Duncan Quad @ and below Vanier, Groomed?
We tried to take several pic’s in this sector riding up Duncan, but the snow-blast
smeared the lens in 1/1000 of a second... making it almost impossible and this
is the only semi-focused one we could process recover.
