By 5:00 P.M., it was Snowing at the Nord, North Base
at a rate we might estimate at around 7 or 8cm’s per hour.
Very difficult to estimate the number of hours it may go
on for? Driving around to the Sud, South, Resort Side,
it was evident that the snowfall was traversing the area in
bands of variable density. The new Snowfall continues to
have higher friction levels, but that’s not a bad thing as
steeper pitches were easier to control making conditions
generally more “Forgiving” for those looking to take on
more advanced challenges.

96(*) Open Trails on the really, really, very, very, Snowy Slopes at #Tremblant.
It’s Really Quite Simple... Excellent Snow... Excellent Skiing!

Are You Doing A Tremblant Snowfall Conditions “Search”?
“Your Tremblant S.N.O.W. Search Produced 1,278,618 Results in 1/1000 of a Second."
Either way, it should be perfectly apparent to you that what you really
need to be doing about the above is this, Below:

Who Let The Kidz Out?
We love it when Kidz of all ages spontaneously Ski or Board in front of our lens.
They probably have no idea these pic’s we love so much to share will ever
survive, or even if they were taken, but what we really think they capture
is the contagious enthusiasm for Skiing or Boarding that spill out whenever
the opportunity arrises, even on a singular basis. This pic was not set up,
we do not know the people, but what we do know is, they were having a
Ton Of Fun from all Shouts of Joy as they pass by!!!

Above: Who Let The Kidz Out?
Wise Parents, that’s who... Wise Parents Know That Travel Is Education.
Sometimes it’s important to pull the Kids out and immerse them in a
Physical and Cultural Enrichment Experience that is Educational.
Wise Parents also Know it’s important to encourage vigorous Physical
Activity in the form of regularly participating in a Sport. Athletic
capacity is a well documented, very positive, component of a Healthy
Lifestyle.
Reviewing Groomed Conditions Yesterday is important because the Density Improvements
over the previous days Super-Fresh, Super-Soft Snow resulted in a more even
compressed Top-Layer that held All-Day Smoothness for the most part. The benefits
are the incremental steps to even further compacted Base Quality from last night’s
Grooming cycle for today. This is a typical experience where consecutive Grooming
cycles are needed to optimize abundant fluffy snowfall that does not pack easily,
(very poor “Snowball” Snow), so today should see some beautifully refined Carving
Surfaces on many of the Trails where Grooming Icons are indicated on the Official Trail
Status below.
Apart from Smoothness is “Speed” or “Glide” in the snow surfaces and what we’re
hoping for today is good glide. As the Weather is trending upwards in forecast Temp’s,
the snow’s internal humidity levels can have different effects on Glide, so it will
be interesting to see what Mother Nature has served up for today’s overnight Snow
dusting.

Above:
A potential bonus is that it may be more than just a “Dusting” on Nord, North
Summit sectors like the Lowell Thomas “Last Run” shot above. It was actually
Snowing quite hard in this zone and we would not be surprised to find more
than the average or statistical total here today.
Attention Regional Tremblant Visit Planers...
Evidently, it’s going to be trending up to a lot warmer daytime Temp’s, so as far as
comfort goes, it will be super easy to dress for and super easy to be outside all day in.
Wind may be an issue, but Frigid Arctic Cold, will not be an issue.
If you’ve been waiting for milder weather, plan now.
Eventually, it will warm up due to “Spring”, so what we’re encouraging is getting
out frequently now, or soon, to take advantage of the extraordinary, abundant,
very high quality Winter Snow that’s here right now. When “Spring” gets here,
the snow will stay for many, many weeks and be wonderful, but... it won’t be
the Pure Winter Squeaky Cool, Super Performance Snow, it will turn into “Spring”
Snow. Don’t miss this Very Special Winter Snow that Tremblant has now.
Attention All Skiers and Snowboarders That Actually Try To Improve With Practice.
Nansen At 6 Kilometres:
The Value of having an uninterrupted Practice Trail that is 6 Kilometres in Length
Can Not Be Overstated.
2.14.17.Nansen.Easy.Learning.Snow.Rapid.Advancment.6.Kilometre.Practice.Length.c.jpg
Many “Learning Processes”, especially for Physical Skills, benefit in rapid technique
development with long, uninterrupted, practice that facilitates the students ability
to generate extended focus on rhythm and feel. These opportunities simply do not
exist if you have to get on a Chair lift every two or three minutes. The “Short”
“Bunny Hill” at “Yourtown” will never be able to allow you the concentration of
Practice effort that you can EASILY and repetitively get at Tremblant.
If You Want To Get Better At Skiing Or Boarding... Come To Tremblant.
Weather Notes:
How Much Fresh Can You Handle?
Super Easy, Super Fine, Super Snowy, Classic, Mild, Tremblant Winter Day...
