T360 Late Eve. Apres Ski @ 10:57 P.M.

We had another Super Fine Spring Skiing Day that was characterized by
the common surface changes that every Spring Day can experience
with Morning Sub-Zero’s and Afternoon Plus 6C.

One of the most Important things to notice
in all the photography over the past several days is...
Wall-To-Wall White Winter Coverage!

What we and some others we talked to noticed, was the unusual sensation
that while the Sud, South Base got up to +6C, the Mountain itself felt
cooler today than yesterday when it only got up to +1C at Sud, South Base.

The Surfaces were all showing signs of refined snow particle size, so there was
a fairly even grip level between Snow and Ski Edges over all of Tremblant’s
Open Groomed Terrain.

It continues to be “Technical Skiing” that requires smooth control movements
in order to keep edges from slipping off the line you’re taking, but for us that’s
always easy because if we experience any side-slide, we immediately adjust
turning radius and turn down speed to retain the grip. It’s actually fun and
quite useful to be able to regulate Speed for Grip because you get to the point
that sliding around is not nearly as much fun as keeping those edges Hooked Up
for quick Slalom Style turns.

Above: It was forecasted to start Raining at just after 4:00 P.M., and one look at
the pic. above tells you there certainly was Weather headed for Tremblant.

The remarkable part here at roughly 11:00 P.M., is that not so much as a Drop
of rain has been seen, so for the right reason, we’re glad the Weather forecast
has so-far, been wrong!

There is still rain in the overnight forecast, maybe it will be wrong too???

One thing’s for sure... We’ll find out in the Morning!

Todays Forecast roughly same as Yesterday with “Spring” Temp Range
moving from below freezing to above freezing with Sunshine!

The overnight temps got considerably cooler than forecast(-8 vs. -5), which may
delay the Solar and Ambient Air Softening, but if it does reach the projected
daytime high at +5C, the softening will no doubt occur, particularly on the
Sud, South and Soleil Sectors.

Whenever Daily Spring Conditions of “Solid" morph’s into “Soft"...

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
