What Was Open May Have Been Limited,
But What Was Open Was Great!

And...

Tomorrow will be better!

An Additional Overnight Grooming Cycle will raise
the “Incremental” Improvements/Refinements standard,
and on top of that, it will increase the scope of coverage.

There is a Good Possibility that the Open Trail Array May
Change and/or Increase During Open Hours, so be sure
to check with the Info.Ski Crews often!

56(*) Open Trails on the White-Out, -10C, Big Snowing Event @ #Tremblant.

After all the recent “Warm”... a most welcome and dramatic switch...

It might not technically be a “Blizzard”, but there’s a lot of Snow in the Air!

From Time-to-Time, White-Out Driven Snow.

What Are The Snowy Possibilities?

Normally we might be able to shoot a panoramic Mountain view from the
Old Village of Mt. T., but we can’t see it for blowing snow, so this Web Cam
array is the best “Right Now” possible.

The Official overnight total is 4cm’s??? but we can tell you there is SIGNIFICANT Drifting.
For example, where the car sits, there’s 15cms on its roof.

After Yesterday’s +6C, Super Soft Spring Surfaces, There Are Too Many “Wild Cards”
to be completely accurate about all the effects, but there will be zones of wind
driven bare exposure, and there will be zones of wind drifted substantial depth.

The wind is what you might call, and what you can certainly hear, a “Howler”.
From primarily a Nor-West Flow, this would indicate the Drifting Zone Potential
to be Summit and Upper Versant Nord, North Side sectors because the Wind is
pushing up the Mountain over Beauvallon/Nansen towards Duncan.

Everything in the Lowell Thomas Sector could get Big, Big Drift-in.

Edge Sector Closed, but it could be dumping over there???, so the “Hikers”
may be out today on a quest for a "Sous Bois” Refresher of as yet, unknown depth.

The Substrates will be solid and icy, BUT... it is too early to say what Grooming
may have done in terms of breaking up the crusty top strata and then with a bunch
of fresh snow, a big bunch of drifted snow, how it will all end up, BUT... there is
just WWWWaayyyy tooooo much snnnoooowwww in the air and on the ground to
not expect major benefits out there in many areas where the wind favours
accumulations.

We need to go and find them. You need to go and find them...

Conditions Notes:

Not Everything is going to be perfect. Yesterday it got up to +5C, it’s now -11C.
There’s a Big, Big Wind. There’s a Big, Big Snow.
Many Sectors will be Excellent, Some sectors will be Knarly...

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
