T360 Apres Midnight, Apres Ski, Saturday, Weekend Edit.

In our Weather Notes for today, we wrote
(with reference to potential Rain):

"At Cooler Mountain Elevations, we expect the potential precip.
to have a high probability of being Snowfall...”

All Snow, Only Snow!

Thank goodness that worked out!

When you scroll through the orig. post below, you’ll find that
we felt that reference had particular application to Nord, North sectors,
so when it Snowed vigorously Everywhere... sampled above on Nansen
Haut, Upper, we considered that a Bonus over an already great day!

Generally, it was another high speed day, and if the Racers In Training
were any indication, a day for very fine technical Instruction, Coaching
and Practice.

We’ve said if before, Racer Kidz are Inspirational. We are motivated
to be better Skiers ourselves when we see these talented Kids, the
future Stars of World Cup and Olympic Skiing, making everything
they do look easy.

No serious Skier can complain about Conditions when these Kids
can make such obvious Skill look so Natural and Well Executed.

To be totally objective, there were a few exposed Icy bits that required
care with speed in order to keep safe control, but they were relatively small
and as far as Beginners were concerned, not within either Nansen or P’tit Bonheur
at all. We make the Beginner reference with special conviction because we
had folks from Ft. Lauderdale Fl., on a family excursion to Tremblant for
some Early Season Learning, on both P’tit Bonheur and Nansen where the
Snow Surfaces were very suitable for basic Beginner development.

Otherwise,

It’s Time Again To Jump Into Action At Tremblant!

This is a sample of current Park features on Nord, North, "Rope Tow”.
Like almost everything Open at Tremblant right now, this sector
looks and feels like mid-winter. More on Nord Park modules tomorrow.

you may need some new glasses because this is real, and it’s at
Tremblant now!

((#)Please Excuse the slightly out of focus. Overcast Grey Light conditions
make un-staged, spontaneous action pic’s difficult, but sometimes the
“Blur” makes a cool impression of Speed, which in this case @ Tremblant,
is 100% accurate.)

Conditions Notes:

Tremblant has been Open for over a week now, and if you are just tuning in,
what you need to know is that this seasons Opening is likely a Historic Record
for the largest number of Open Trails/Terrain in a Tremblant Opening since 1939.

The combination of appropriate Snowmaking Temp’s and Natural Snowfall
along with immense effort by Tremblant Mountain Op’s, has produced
Finished Trail Surfaces that a lot of Old-Timer/Locals will tell you are
comparable to any good, Mid-Winter, January/February quality. Of Course...
it is still only December 2, so we do not have 3 months worth of accumulations
yet, but on the Open Terrain, it definitely feels like Mid-Winter everywhere
your Skis or Board can take you.

If you are a Regular Early Season Tremblant Fan, it almost seems a bit bizarre
to find so much available, we’re just not used to all this open space at this time,.
but we’ll Gratefully and Very Enthusiastically Accept It, Embrace It as the Gift
from Mother Nature it is.

Almost a Month ago Tremblant360 predicted the convergence of Weather Factors
that could generate a “Super Season”, and certainly there can be no doubt
what-so-ever, that we are off to that reality with a head start now that will
effect the whole rest of the season.

Truthfully, we have had a couple of days with Icy bits because it is still Officially Fall,
however, in both of those days there was still good technical Skiing that just
required sensitivity in edging and speed control to stay within safe control
parameters.

Otherwise, superb Grooming and Topographical Shaping by Tremblant’s
highly skilled Team Members have given all Guests from Beginners to Experts
some of the Smoothest, Fastest and Most Consistent Descents we can ever
remember for an Opening sequence in over 4 decades of our Tremblant experience.

Find Yourself At Tremblant.

The Iconic Tremblant scenery of Snowy Winter days is captivating
in any direction you look. Peaceful, serene views are around every corner.

What A Great Time For Learning!
or practice...

This week has seen the Way-Early Opening of Nansen Bas, Lower, right down
to the Sud, South, Resort Base. The Condition of this Trail at Opening is the
best we can ever recall. Period.

The value of having a 6 Kilometre, “Green”, Easy Way down, can not be overstated.
There are very few places in the Known Ski World that can come close to the benefits
of this reliable, predictable, dependable, gentle and consistent descent, for those
just starting out. To have it in such immaculate shape for its entire length on
December 1st, is an absolute Gift for anyone who wants to learn or practice.

For Experts, Having the Lowell Thomas Sector Opening within the First Week
is a Gift as well!

And... Lowell T. Sector is only one example! Taschereau, Alpine, Beauvallon,
Beauchemin, are all other examples of Very Fine Open Terrain to get your
Experts Groove established for the Season.

Weather Notes:

At Cooler Mountain Elevations, we expect the potential precip.
to have a high probability of being Snowfall, especially on
Versant Nord, the North Side.

When Sud, South Resort Level Temp’s are indicated at +4C or less,
we advise people to ignore any Light(2 Icon Drops) Rain shown.
At low, single digit temps, 7 out of 10 times, it will either be Snow
or such quickly passing weather that it is of no consequence on the
Mountain.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
