T360 Special Edition Apres Ski “24Hr. Children’s Charity Fundraiser”

By the time this event is complete for Dec. 8/9/10, 2017 Weekend,
It will have raised close to or over $28,000,000, 28 MILLION Dollars
for the Children’s Medical Charity Foundations it supports.

While the Event is on, there are Logistical Challenges due to the
large attendance and the demands placed on roadways, parking,
Mountain facilities, etc.

We will cover detail regarding all aspects, attached below as “Reply”.

Please Note: Some of this material may be duplicated tomorrow morning
for current relevance to the day itself.

(Please Note: We will have a full Guest Utility Notice for the General Skiing
Public Access regarding the 24Hr Children’s Charity Fundraiser Event and Course,
Attached below, before 21:00 Hrs, 12/8/17.)

Getting Back To Normal.(**)

Here’s our one pic. Trail Snow, Surface Sample Forecast For Today...

Getting Back To Normal, Plus...

We think you will see several important Snowmaking Sector
Developments very soon.

Here are two recent Pic.File samples:

1) Versant Sud, South Side:

2) Versant Nord, North Side:

In addition, when you include scenes like this Below, that have been visible on
the Web Cams for the past two days since the Temp’s dropped, it may be
reasonable to conclude Opening of Duncan may be planned to occur “Soon”.

The File.Pic Above was a diagonal Telephoto shot from the foot of the Nord,
North Lodge Main Ramp, to the visible Lower Crest of Duncan Bas, Lower,
as you can see the Overview Below.

Looking at Other Versant Nord, North Side Possibilities...

Putting “2+2” Together.
Co-Factors Indicating Near-Term, Potential Open Terrain.

It is important to note for this and every other season, there is usually
a focused effort by Mountain Op’s to Expand Versant Nord, North Side
Open Terrain for the sake of the Public as Enhancement/Bonus/Compensation
for the restrictions to Versant Sud, South Side Terrain that is off-line
and Dedicated to the 24Hr. Children’s Charity Marathon Fundraiser Course.

A close look at the Snowmaking Icons on the Official Trail Status Below
shows that Gagnon and Fuddle Duddle, Duncan Haut, Upper, and Duncan Bas,
Lower, Devils River and Jasey-Jay are all under active development.

There are a couple of “Missing Links” in the Nord, North development picture
now though, because ideally, optimized utility of these somewhat overlapping
areas might include Vanier and Sissy Schuss Haut, Upper, in order to complete
a maximum number of Descent Pathway Combinations that potentially exist
when there is such a strong indication for the Expo Quad to be coming online.

It is possible... that the Snowmaking Icon Reporting Updates are just a bit behind.
Vanier did show Icons on the Nov. 29, 30 and Dec.2 Lists, while Sissy
Schuss, contrary to evidence below, has not yet shown list inclusion.
This is not a criticism, just observation. There are 1000’s of things happening
on the Mountain simultaneously, and it is both understandable and not
uncommon to have some reporting glitches when there is so much Opening
and Development activity going on at the very same time.

With these two Pic’s above we can see that there has been very important
Sector development going on over 5 days in this area, so we think there’s
a strong possibility of it coming on line “Soon”, even though this areas
development has not yet appeared on the list.

We Don’t Know For Sure, But...
One common descent pathway opening in this area could be Sissy Schuss Haut,
Upper, to Gagnon, back into Sissy Schuss, via “Side Door” off Gagnon, down to
Fuddle Duddle Bas, Lower, exiting to Beauchemin Bas at the Expo Quad Base.

Two points that come with these observations are that even if there’s the
odd time somethings not officially listed, it’s usually just a clerical oversight
and... typically when you get to Tremblant, you’re going to find beneficial surprises
of MORE.

Other Conditions Notes:

(**)Conditions are improving substantially every day... and...
It Snowed, Officially 9cm’s, last night.

The combination of:

A) Stable Mountain Sub-Zero’s
B) Another Night-Shift Grooming Cycle
C) 9cm’s of Fresh, New Snowfall

Will synergistically elevate all conditions at Tremblant to the point that
the effects of the warm-wet of earlier this week will cease to be evident
in the majority of all surfaces. Period.

There will be some lingering effects and for sure, the whole Base is now
really “Solid”, but as we theorized back when it happened, the “Silver Lining”
in the Wet Cloud is now a Foundational element in what is going to be the
bottom layers of the base that the entire Season will benefit from. We won’t
see this compacted strata in the base again until at least Mid-April, and maybe
even “Never”, because what we are hoping for, and has a high degree of probability
of occurring, is that there will be so much Natural Snow that it will be buried under
huge accumulations until it all finally melts off in May.

All Indications Are That There Are Going To Be
Significant Terrain Openings Immanently.

It’s still too early to tell exactly what that might include, but...

This should be a Major Weekend Benefit To Recreational Skiers/Boarders
who are just out for a Great Day on the Slopes and are not
directly involved with the 24Hr Children’s Charity Marathon
Fundraiser

(Please Note A: Donation and Site Links will be added below.)
(Please Note B: This section divided into 2 portions.
1- The Event, 2- Logistics for those Not Involved in the Event.)

#1... The Event:

By the time this event is complete for Dec. 8/9/10, 2017 Weekend,
It will have raised close to or over $28,000,000, That's 28 MILLION Dollars
for the Children’s Medical Charity Foundations has supported since 2001.

This year alone, it should be(+/-), $3,500,000.

On those basis alone, no one can dispute the Event's positive value.

Topic Under Construction, More following as time permits...
To Start With, here are the Title Pages for the Event.

#2... Logistics

Logistical Considerations for those Recreational Skiers/Boarders Not Involved
with the 24Hr. Charity Event.

The Number One Logistical Challenge For Those Not Involved Is
Versant Sud, South Side, Parking and Public Access to Resort Facilities.

If you are a Regional Tremblant Skier/Boarder just out for a day on the Slopes...

The Single Best Item Of Advice Is... Drive Around To Versant Nord, the North Side,
for Parking and Lift Access, and Be Early.

If you have no choice for some reason, and you find you have to park on
the South, your only practical option is to go very early. Event participants
and supporters typically fill up South Side parking between 9:00 and 10:00 A.M.
If attendance is less than we would anticipate, it is possible P3 parking may
remain accessible. There may also be special “Overload”, temporary Parking
facilities. Tremblant realizes this event places a heavy load on infrastructure,
so they are good about making extraordinary adaptations if resources permit.

One option for Vehicle loads of Skiers/Boarders who want to be South Side
based, is to Car-Pool and drop off South Priority Guests at the Resort and
send the Vehicle/driver around to the North.

If We Understand It Correctly...

The Flying Mile Quad Opened Today, along with Green Trail "La Passe”
allowing an easy connect circuit use of Nansen from either Summit-to-Base,
or from the La Passe halfway mark for Nansen Bas, Lower, only, as well as
a 2 stage Summit Access using the TGV Quad.

We understand the Gondola will be available, with Public Traffic integrated
with/into Prioritized Event Traffic.

It is also our understanding(subject to confirmations), that Johannsen will
be available, funnelling to the Left Side Descending, to the Magic Carpet
learning Zone, Onesime, adjacent to Sommet des Neiges, to allow access
into the Gondola Base Loading Zone.

Based on the potential expansion of Versant Nord, North Side Open Terrain,
an increase in numbers of Nord, North, Open Trails is a historically common
occurrence for the Event Weekend and we suggest that this weeks Snowmaking
Icons represent the bulk of what may become Open. Additionally, we discuss
in the body of our regular post above, potential North Terrain that is not on the list,
but is never-the-less, under construction.

To enhance North versatility, there is at least some chance the Expo Quad may
be Open with a descent path using Sissy Schuss and Fuddle Duddle, and or
Vanier, down to Duncan Bas, Lower.

After the Event is finished at noon on Sunday, Tremblant Crews
begin dismantling the Course and if conditions are safe, the Ski Patrol
may Open the Course Slopes to the general public starting at around 1:30
or so.
