12/14/17 #Tremblant Conditions

Post by T360 »

44(*) Open Trails on the Very Kkkool, Very White Winter Slopes at #Tremblant .

It’s only Dec. 14th, so you can technically...

“Fall” Into “Winter” At Tremblant!

If you put this picture in here and called it “February 5th”,
no one would doubt you.

The fact that this pic. above exists in the just the second week of December
is all the evidence you need to immediately Play “Hooky”, Run Away From Home,
Turn Right and Left the City, Skip Town, Vamoose, Take a Hike, Abandon Ship,
De-Plane, or any other expression that could generally be applied to “Leave
For Tremblant Immediately."

Hello Ottawa, Bonjour Rawdon, Howareya Hawksbury, et al,
REGIONAL Tremblant Fans...

WHERE ARE YOU?

Conditions At Tremblant Are Crazy Good For ANY Dec.14th,
AND YOU NEED TO GO NOW IF YOU CAN...

But Wait... There’s MORE !!!

Above: Any Fall Morning you can stand here on Devils River and look
back up at these Conditions while the Open Duncan Quad passes
over like this, is a remarkably Fine "Fall Into Winter" Day!

After ANY Big, Sudden, Quick, Deep, New Snowfall, it can take a day
or two for Mountain Crews to achieve fully compacted Groomed Surfaces.

For Beginners, go to Nansen or P’tit Bonheur and stay there until
your Instructor or Responsible Friend takes you where ever they think
you can safely upgrade your Challenge level. Ton’s of Fresh New
Snowfall take a day or two of Grooming Cycles to optimize Packed
Trail Surface Density, so looser top layers can generate thick bits
with variable degrees of pass-over resistance and you need to be able
to maintain absolute Speed and Stopping Control at all times.

For Intermediates, Explore Carefully and stick to Blue Rated Terrain
that matches your actual Skill Level. Looser Top Layers can exhibit
Tracked up and/or Mogul Formations that can cause either uneven
friction between Left and Right Skis, or quickly changing Forward Motion,
so here again, maintaining Speed and Directional control is critical
for safe descents. If you feel any loss of stable control, default down
to Green rated Terrain until your skills and confidence warm up.

For Genuine Experts...

WhaaaWhoooooooo!!!!!

You Just Won The Tremblant “Fall Into Winter” Lottery!!!

Have SAFE Fun!!!

Park Fans have enjoyed exceptional Early Season Module
Arrays Since Opening Day. This is one from a series we did
about 10 days ago, but the action you’ll find in this Alpine Bas,
Lower, “Progression” Park should be “X”-actly the same today!

------- Hors Piste/Sous Bois/Glade Skiing Update ------------

Excellent Tremblant360 Fan Submitted “Le Tunnel” jpg.Pic.file
from Yesterday. Same Today!!!

It should be noted that in the Hors Piste, Sous Bois, while it looks like
Mid-Winter, the overall depth is not mid-winter, yet. Consequently, there
may be early season hazards under the surface that are difficult to anticipate.
Caution with speed around unusual topographical contours is wise, and
you should be prepared to make quick directional changes for avoidance.
Leave safe margins and do not kiss the trees.

Dress for it, take warm-up breaks as often as you need,
and have fun anyway!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
