If possible, you want to park yourself in front of a warm fireplace
and if your poor overworked vehicle is outside, do it and yourself a favour
and plug in the Block Heater.

Another Public Service Advisory:

The Bottom Line on Today was...
If You Were Able Dress For It... The Skiing Was Excellent.

So, Tomorrow Should Be Fabulous! New Fresh Snow Starting Around 10:00 A.M.?
Warming Trend for 48 Hours?, Over this Super Cool Base? “Fabulous” may be
inadequate.

96/96(*) Open Trails on the 100% Super Cool, Snow White Slopes of #Tremblant .

Is This The Earliest Date In Tremblant History To Be 100% Open?

It’s certainly a Fabulous and Noteworthy way to Start The New Year!

And... An Excellent Sunset on 2017!

Rider Feedback Contributed with Pic.File:

"Last lift up, top of Beauchemin Haut. Completely alone.
There were only a couple of icy patches and the run
was quite smooth (which struck me as excellent for
the end of day one weekend). It was a perfect way to end the day!"

"The Amazing Zone"... Believe It Or Not...

You Will Be Able To Find Warmth Outdoors Today, but...

It will be in a way that is relative to the ambient Temp, and...
Any Warmth will be Inversely Proportional to Air Speed.

For Example: If you are moving, at all, you will be subject to “Air Speed”
and at these temp’s, it will be challenging to keep heat.
For Example: If you can find a Zero Wind, Totally Breeze Sheltered, Trail-side
spot, you will be able to face the Sun and feel Solar Radiation Warming.
This will be particularly noticeable if you are wearing Black.

The question is how many people are crazy enough to conduct
this experiment today?

Assuming You Are Dressed For It...

The Joy Of Personal Discovery Brings
Smiles Regardless Of Temperature.

Let’s just say, for the sake of the conversation and pic above, that you are
from Middle-Southern Ontario, and you are a Beginner Snowboard person
with previously very well developed physical capabilities as an Experienced,
Expert Rock Climber and as a Trained Ballerina. What we see above, is
that combination which has produced the totally evident, Natural Smile
that is Radiant in the Moment of major progress in the Learning Process.

We absolutely Cherish our friends willingness to share this Tremblant
experience with us because it speaks so clearly to the points we continuously
try to make about the Physiological and Psychological Benefit of Winter
Alpine Snow Sports participation. In this specific case, our friend above has
the very clear advantage of excellent previous physical training, so to
begin with, possesses a superior personal development of strength,
balance and co-ordination which is a HUGE asset.

We find that this “Previous Physical Training” is a fairly common element
with Beginners in either Skiing or Boarding at Tremblant. Furthermore, the
majority of Beginners we meet often have more natural aptitude than they will
give themselves credit for, as a result of the Sports they have done before.

The Moral Of The Story Is:

If you have dreams of starting or advancing at Skiing or Snowboarding
and you have any previous Sports Experience, you most likely already have
Balance and Co-ordination Skills that make you a Great Candidate for Rapid
Development.

Furthermore... we think you should come to Tremblant for that Development.
The Naturally Rhythmic Descent Lines Here offer one of the finest Alpine Snow
Sport areas of Technical Merit for All Skill Level Learning, Training and
Recreational Health, in the World. Tremblant Produces FIS World Cup Gold Medal
Champions, and Olympic Gold Medal Champions. Period. Tremblant as a Resort
has been involved in International/World Ski Competition and Training Since 1939.
Racing Improves The Breed For All. The Best technique that makes racers Fast,
include Strength, Agility, Balance, Energy and Control, and when applied
at all Recreational Levels, makes Safe Skiers Grow Into Genuine Experts.

The use of the word “Extreme” is absolutely legitimate
for the current Weather Anomaly.

Not only is most of the North American Continent affected,
but the extended period of time it has endured is most unusual too.

It is Critically Important to be in touch with your own extremities
throughout any Recreational Outdoor Activities in this situation.
Personal Injury can happen as the result of loss of feeling that
may be confused in the absence of pain. If feet or hands were
hurting and it goes away while you’re outside... That’s a Very Bad
Sign when temps are at/below -22C/-9F, at elevation.

If you see a fellow Skier/Boarder With White, Plaster-Like looking
Skin Patches, Tips of Nose, Forehead, Cheeks, etc., etc., Send Them
Inside in no Uncertain Terms.

Safe Cold Exposure Avoidance is not a suggestion,
it is an Imperative Direction.

Otherwise, What You Need To Know Is:

If You’re Prepared, The Skiing Is Exquisitely Fine and
of the Highest Possible Technical Merits of Grip and
Control.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
