At 21C WARMER, and 18cm’s SNOWIER, we are quite sure you can imagine
just how Good, and Easy, Tremblant is going to be today!

“Easy” Temp’s! with a daytime high projected at -2C!!!

“Easy” and very beautiful 18cm's Fresh Snowfall!

Nice!!!

Conditions at Tremblant have been exceptional for the whole season so far.
And... Once Again... For All Skill Levels.
With nothing other than “Average” for future Snow and Temp’s they should
remain exceptional just because of the very good, very early, arrival of all
the natural snow and the supporting Sub-Zero temps to solidly establish
an extraordinarily early Base.

If you are “Sitting on the Fence” about possibilities of a Spontaneous
Tremblant Get-Away...

All The Hard Work Has Been Done...

We have endured the Arctic Level Polar Vortex. We’re seeing the really cold
air return to the North Pole and Siberia(?), at least it’s gone from here as of
today, so why not take advantage of the remarkable effects that are literally
sitting here, waiting for one and all to explore their potential?

At this stage, all we see is the Fullness Of Seasonal Maturity
incrementally rising as new snowfall adds to the total accumulations.
With every advancing step in that direction, Tremblant’s Pro
Mountain Crews will be focused on refinement within the Open
Groomed Terrain. From a starting point right now that is Weeks Ahead
of normal, we can not see anything other than a Super-Fine Immediate
and Long Term period of consistent quality.

Weather Notes:

We’ve already had the question... “What about Thursday?”
First of all... at 72 hours away, there’s still some possibility
temp’s could be up or down from this forecast. We’re just
guessing on this, but we’d say about 60% of the time, actual
temp’s turn out to be a wee bit cooler over 72 hours, but there’s
no way of actually knowing, so we have to hope for that, and
take into account that regardless of temp’s, it will be short.

Conditions Notes:

On the Groomed, things should be Very Fine and if there’s any
challenge, it may come with the drifting or potential thickness in
the new snow at a statistical depth of 18cm’s or between 7/8 inches.
A normal Grooming Night Shift can pack and groom about 10cm’s
to a level of compression that is quite mogul resistant. At 18cm’s,
there can be remaining softness after the first night, which is no
problem for Experienced Skiers and Boarders, but may be more
difficult for Beginners if any tracked or mogul’d surfaces develop.
The answer for all Intermediates and Beginners is to stay within
realistic Skill Level Rated Terrain, INCLUDING any Ski Patrol Hand
Posted, Superseding Signage.

With that being said regarding “Groomed”, with another Grooming Shift
tonight to optimize compacting, tomorrow should be close to “Spectacular”!

In the Hors Piste, Un-Groomed, Sous Bois, Glade Skiing/Boarding
as good as it is, it is not yet at seasonal Depth maturity and on top of
that, we have just come through the “Holiday” period traffic, so
there has been Trail Wear. That will have been at least partially
restored with the New Snow, especially if there has been beneficial
Drift-in.

The net result is that caution is still required on all Un-Groomed
Glade Terrain.

With the Christmas/New Year’s Holiday Time Period Officially Over...

This is when the Dedicated(as in singular purpose) Skiing and Boarding
Guest Visitations begin. People arriving now are booked in for the sole
purpose of a Ski/Board experience and they are not going to be anything
other than Overjoyed with the vast scope and quality of what they will find.

For Spontaneous Ski/Board Holiday Shoppers, this moment in this season
offers an extraordinary opportunity to have an unusual fullness in conditions
during what is technically speaking “Low Season”, meaning the rates for
accommodation are significantly discounted. With Warmer Weather, and TON’S
of Snow, Mid-January is an all-round Easy Tremblant Bargain!
