The Amazing Part Is... there would be historic seasonal examples
where the Opening Statement above might have “Weeks” instead
of “Months” as the time-period reference. For Regularly attending
Tremblant Fans, that’s what we’ll call a “Wow” Factor so far for
this season.

And... It Ain’t Over Yet. As the long range forecast shows, there’s
plenty of potential left for even more “winter”, this spring.

Regardless of future, right now is a statistically above average
conditions window that we are encouraging all sincere Tremblant
fans who can get out from any handy regional point to take
advantage of. It’s March 27th, so anything can happen, but the
odds are very much in favour of extended high quality with the
weather forecast as it stands right now.

Weather Notes:

Considering the Close Proximity to Zero C for Sud, South Resort
Base Level Temp’s, we think there is some probability of cooler
Mountain elevations getting Snow throughout this 24hr. forecast
period.

We see the Sou-East wind direction as a possible asset as the
breezes should be coming up the Mountain roughly over Duncan,
headed towards the TGV across the Summit and it is a somewhat
favourable Snow-Factor anytime the wind source is from anywhere
over Versant Nord. We could be wrong, but on one recently similar
Time/Temp scenario that forecasted rain, we called for Snow potential,
and the Nord, North Side got a drift-in mini-blizzard with 14cm’s, so
the potential is at least worth mentioning.

In that particular event, the wind induced drifting created deposits below
contours of well above 30cm’s on Versant Nord while it rained over
Johannsen and snow’d on Flying Mile and up.

Spring is just loaded with “Tipping Points” that can go either way,
but over the years, observations have shown when they have good
chance of being all snow, and this is one of them. We could still be
wrong on the initial phases though. The forecast does show later phases
of this event being all snow, so the final outcome is that tomorrow should
be just fine, thank you very much, the only net difference being either a little,
or a lot, of fresh, new, snowfall.

Conditions Notes:

Classic Spring Utility Profile for today where overnight lows
can generate firm surfaces that will very nicely soften as
the day matures.

It is totally appropriate to recommend caution with speed
for all initial explorations, however once the softening occurs,
the pattern of its effects should be predictable. What we usually
recommend is an early lunch as the Sweet Spot for conditions
may be around noon, so maximizing user friendly Skiing can
be realized by not having to stop just when things get really good.
