Race Technology Improves The Breed.
Everything that makes a race ski a winner, ultimately makes
the skis we use, and the skis you could be using, better.
And for the past several days, after dealing with Mother Natures weather
drama, it's also one of the best options to maximize traction and performance.
There is no doubt in our minds, the recent whacky weather that is
responsible for the “Firmness” in the open, groomed terrain right
now, or at any other time, is best dealt with using the appropriate tools.
Skis that have the built in design and material technologies to perform
very well in exactly these kinds of conditions are Race skis, and Recreational
skis that have Race ski derivative technologies built in.
Looking at the current Race design based high performance Recreational
skis from Atomic, Rossignol, Head, Fischer, Salomon, Elan, Volkl, Stockli,
and others as may exist, shows that there is very definite market acceptance
for this concept. Experienced skiers appreciate that what makes these Race
design influenced skis so good in these types of challenging conditions,
make them extraordinary performers in more ideal conditions. A "Win, Win"
scenario that is applicable to the skill levels of confident Intermediates
and above.
Otherwise, it’s a cool start, so bundle up because as beautifully peaceful
as this scene below looks, it’s a legitimate “Bundle Up” advisory when
First Tracks is going to be around -20C.

Snowmaking Terrain Development.
For reasons we are not aware of, the Snowmaking Icons are not
showing on the Official downloadable data. However, there is
actually a very large snowmaking effort underway that near-future
Tremblant guests can look forward to seeing the benefit of expanding
open terrain with.
This is only one sample, “Flying Mile” Sector

If you’re coming from long distance examples like Bethpage,
Long Island New York, or Godmersham, Kent, England, for up
towards, or just into the New Year, this is important news about
expanding terrain. If you are in some other far-off regional place and
thinking about a Tremblant “Road Trip”, what you want to know
is that Mountain Crews here are working literally around the clock
to quickly maximize the greatest amount of Open Terrain to be
available when you arrive.
Weather Notes:
Cool temp’s and low winds are a great early winter
combination and where you can find a safe, sunny,
calm, trail-side stop, you will feel heat in the rays... Enjoy!

Conditions Notes:
Machine groomed granular with some blended natural snow
that fell 48 hours ago. It has combined to render smooth,
groomed, very fast top layers of moderate depth. The loose top
layers have increased in depth and area with multiple overnight
grooming cycles, however the very firm base can become exposed
due to traffic or pitch steepness, so care is required in observing
patterns and proactively avoiding zones where slickness or icy bits
may be present.
You especially need to apply this type of proactive strategy if
you are trying to push your own challenge level and attempting
more difficult steepness.
Tuned gear is essential for optimized control and enjoyment.
