It’s Super Bowl Sunday...

If... If it’s a typical Super Bowl Sunday, there will be a good group
out for First Tracks, and for the rest of the morning, but at between
12 Noon and 1:00P.M., it may seem as though someone took a giant
Shop-Vac and Whooosh..... they’re gone!?!?!?

Look no further than the Big Screen TV’s of Yourtown to see what’s
going on as rabid Football Fans gather to watch the Gladiatorial
Contest of organized Head-Butting, and the Chickens of the world
scream in horror at the sight of more wings than it would take to
fly off into space with a whole Stadium full of people...

And for this they leave the lucky few to have Tremblant’s magnificent
freshly snow-dusted slopes all to themselves for the whole afternoon???
Are they “Nuts”???

--------------- Quick Apres Ski Update Insert Edit ---------------

As mentioned above, typical Super Bowl Sunday traffic profile sees
a noticeable decrease at around 12:30 P.M., but today had a more
dedicated Ski/Board crowd so it was more like 1:45 to 2:00 P.M before
trails and lifts showed that folks were moving off the Mountain.
Personally, we’re happy to see great skiing get the priority it deserves,
but no doubt, towards the end of the day, lapping got easier and faster.

--------------- End of Insert Update -----------------------------------

Weather Notes:

Wow, so far, we’d have to say... As Tremblant Winters usually go,
this has been generally milder than usual? It sure feels “Easy”?

Conditions Notes:

There was sufficient weekend traffic to generate both moguls
and a few icy bits yesterday, so todays conditions are going
to be directly proportional to last nights Grooming shift and
we’re confident that is going to mean a complete re-set to
great.

We think that due to the “Super Bowl Discontinuem”, a term we’ve
coined to describe the apparent willingness of the public to vacate
the Mountain at around noon to head for the Beer/Nacho’s/Wings/Tv’s
of “Theirville”, that the mornings quality should remain largely intact,
“if” the traffic gets reduced to the degree that history for this day
typically shows.

We could be wrong. Maybe Mother Nature will wave a great magical
wand over the Mountain and everyone will be so joyful in the fabulous
Ski/Board conditions that they will stay on to Last Run? We think the
probability is low, but we have to acknowledge the possibility does exist.

Caution is required in the Un-groomed Mogul zones. The light coat of
new snow may camo some natural hazards underneath, so pay very
close attention to Ski Patrol Hand Posted signage, if and where it has
been put in place.

For the most part, we’re forecasting very fine conditions at about
the 90% mark, especially in the freshly groomed.
