There was enough “Warm” to soften the very top layers,
however, there was not enough “Warm” to get into the Base.

As a result, there was mega-traction, without severe or
pervasive mogul formations.

Everything was easy, within respective Skill Level ratings.

Same for Tuesday by the time the heat gets built up, but the
morning is going to be firm.

It is possible we may see some “protective” trail closures(????)
Maybe not. The reason we think it could happen is that there are some
thin zones generated commonly by either concentrated traffic
patterns or wind-driven exposures, so we wonder if Mountain
Crews may want to preserve the coverage until this next big
Snow-Storm is forecast to begin on Wednesday afternoon???

If everything stays Open, watch out for some very small
hazard bits around the edges, over some crests, or in
converging traffic concentrations.

Otherwise.... fast, fun, soft , smooth, definitely in the top 5 days or so
of this season-to-date.

Weather Notes:

Lotta “Wild Cards” in this scenario, however... what we
think is worth considering as a possibility is that cooler
atmospheric strata above the Mountain, may, could be,
might even, maybe, perhaps... make all snow?

“Fingers Crossed” on that one!

Conditions Notes:

As stated in the Weather Notes above, there are a lot of Wild Cards
in the range of outcomes due to the may, or may not happen weather
factors. What we are looking for is the “May Not” happen part applied
to the rainy bits in the forecast. The reason we think that is possible is
yesterday. In that case, the cloudy icons forecasting overcast actually
turned out to be what you see in the pic’s above as “Haze”, and it was
basically “Sunny” all day.

So, if the forecast was wrong for such a significant part of yesterday,
what are the possibilities for a repeat on the “Wrong” part again today?

Let's see what Mother Nature has to say???

As we also note above, we think one possibility is that Mother Nature
may make her “Weather” in cooler atmospheric air mass strata above
the Mountain, which could produce an all-snow precipitation. In the way
yesterday unfolded, maybe it could remain “Sunny” throughout?

Will We Keep The “Rocket Fast” Groomed Surfaces Today?

As far as the technical aspects of the performance envelop, our
biggest hope is that regardless of the type or quantity of atmospherically
generated “Thermal Influences”, that the “Speed” will remain in the
Groomed surfaces as we had it yesterday. Further to that, we think the
best potential for that is the residual stored “Cold” in the base from both
the seasonally established frost level, and more specifically, the re-boot
the frost level got from the recent sequence of -30C overnights. That factor
held true all day yesterday and we think it can hold again today.

If that were the case, what you would end up with would be “Spring-Like”
atmospheric conditions, and All-Winter Trail Snow Surface conditions/coverage.
A uniquely excellent potential combination that could definitely make today
a “Best Of” candidate?

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
