Comparing todays 14 day long range forecast to yesterdays will quickly
illustrate the rapid variation in weather model projections that could
yield differences in final outcomes for natural snow.

At least there is a consensus that the temp models are all trending
downward, so even it the natural snow ends up being less than
what was being previously forecast, the ambient coolness should
be good for snowmaking. An additional benefit that we have not seen
a lot of with the so-far mild temps, is that a sustained period of cool
days will help put the frost further into the Mountain helping to build
up a cool reserve under the base for the enhanced durability that
stored refrigerant delivers back out as the season progresses.

1.12.21 Supplementary Weather Data:

There’s not a thing anyone can do about the very dominant
forces illustrated below, so we’ll just have to keep fingers
crossed that the forecast models for cooler mid-season
temps actually happen.

Conditions Notes:

Our forecast for today is for an instantly perceptible increase
in the expansion of soft, easy to control, groomed trail surfaces
across all skill levels. The integration of falling snow that began to
arrive before grooming started last night should go a long way to
producing a very fine blend over the pre-existing firm base.

In the Sous Bois, Hors Piste, Un-groomed categories, the new snow
should also make things a lot smoother. Coupled with the low
traffic, we think there should be loads of all day Expert fun.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
