98(*) Open Trails on all 4 Sectors at #Tremblant .
It’s Weekend Sunday Pandemic Edition, so you can expect a potential
short lift wait, but out on the trails it will probably feel like you’re
all by yourself most of the time. We could be wrong, but traffic
density has been on the low side so far and with current admittance
restrictions it seems likely to remain that way for a while.
Weather Notes:
Conditions Notes:
Another reason we expect the trail use to be relatively light today
is what we call the “Super Bowl Discontinuum”, a phenomenon
where rabid Football Fans seem to abandon any sensible day
on the slopes at around noon, head for the nearest big-screen
T.V., and proceed to consume more chicken wings, nachos and
beer in one evening than any Hooters in America sells combined
in a week.
What that typically means is that the crowds tend to rapidly
diminish, or sometimes even almost magically vanish between
12:00 noon and about 1:45 P.M.
If you’ve concluded any afternoon of any Super Bowl Sunday
is very much like a private club, and you’re the exclusive member,
you would be correct.
Season after season we have taken great joy in having the magnificent
slopes of Tremblant practically all to ourselves for almost the entire
afternoon on Super Bowl Sunday. Of course this year, the Covid-19
pandemic has thrown an additional “Monkey Wrench” into the entire
fabric of Human activity, so the likelihood is that could mean even
fewer in attendance.
We could be wrong...

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
