Winter's Movin' In! 11.30.09

In our recent "Weather Freaks" posting we predicted stable winter weather patterns within 72 hours and we are pleased to report that the Summit of Tremblant is showing some proof of accuracy today... thank goodness.

The next couple of days will be a big indicator of how things are going. We are sure that we will see some pretty serious Snow Making efforts from the Tremblant Mountain Crews, probably within hours.
It is possible that there is snow making now on portions of the Mountain that we can't see from the Web Cams, such as the North Side runs of P'tit Bonheur and Beauchemin that are both good runs to have ready for opening day.
If there's any one out there in Cyber-Space that can verify that, please feel free to do so.

We're all anxious for good news for the season... I think everyone just wants to get out and crank off some turns!

- We always like this view, but today it means a lot more because we feel it marks the beginning of stable winter weather patterns at Tremblant.

- This is the view over Lowell Thomas this morning and while the record shows we have seen this amount of snow up here before this season, the difference now is that we feel it is here to stay.

- Here is a screen shot of the Weather Network 14 day outlook which indicates very healthy conditions for Snow Making by both Mother Nature and the Mountain Crews at Tremblant. Keep in mind that the summit is usually several degrees Celsius lower than the base, so that should help too.
