66(*) Open Trails On Versant Sud/South, and Nord/North Sectors At #Tremblant .
It’s “Anything Goes” Mid-April...
So for today... Standard Rainy/Cloud-Foggy/Drizzly/Sleety protocols apply.

Weather Notes:
As this is being written, there is actually
sunshine in the adjacent Old Village of Mt. T,
while the Summit is totally cloud covered.
What could happen? More of “Anything Goes”,
however, the statistical probability is with “Damp”.

Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Once again, the weather forecast is likely to keep
traffic at low levels so wear patterns should also be
far less noticeable over the course of the day. That
would typically mean that if you are dressed to stay
dry, there could and should be fabulous smoothness
everywhere. If there are “variables” on top of that,
we’d have to say the wild cards are going to be in
the speed department where there could be many
unique running surface factors. Regardless of those
different speed characteristics, you should be able to
instantly compensate by either adding or subtracting
the increased pitch angle of steeper trails to yield
quicker but still safe descent ability.
In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Un-Groomed:
It is essential to proceed with caution in all
initial explorations. There are some natural
hazards becoming exposed through traffic
and where the base may be thinner over
topographical contours. Patterns of safe
use should be quickly apparent, however
unless you are doing sequential runs, do
not assume that exactly the conditions
you find this morning, are identical this
afternoon.
For the most part, there is an amazing amount
of natural snowpack in the Sous Bois, way more
than average for this date, so it’s just a matter
of using your head for responsible safety where
the somewhat heavy thickness of warm spring
snow generates additional muscle demand and
there is less forgiveness with higher speeds.
Weather Generated Variable Influences:
It should be a drizzle/rainy/cloud foggy day, but
if, if, if the early peeks of blue sky visible at Sud/South
base levels are any indication of how different the
possibilities could be, we’d have to say it is an
“Anything Goes” kind of mid-April spring day.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located at
both page top and bottom to scroll through sequential dates, or use
your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index page for
non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
