101/102(*) Open Trails(#) On All 4 Open Sectors At #Tremblant .

(#) Please Note: There is a slight contradiction in the Open Trail
list stating 102/102 when there is a clearly marked closure.
The only trail closed is Versant Sud/South side Flying Mile
as it is the designated Race Course for the F.I.S. Nor Am
Event scheduled for Feb.27 to Mar. 2, 2023, and the
course preparation is under way.

Weather Notes:

(Please Note: For the sake of illustrating “Temperature Inversion”
where the Summit is unusually warmer than the base, we are
modifying the Weather Notes presentation to show an overnight
to morning recording of this phenomenon. We would say Temp.
inversions might happen roughly 10% of early morning hours and
typically revert by around(+/-), 11:00 A.M.)

Yesterday saw a larger that average Elevation Differential
that was -7C instead of the normal -4C, between the
Sud/South Base and the typically cooler Summit for about
18 hours that included open hours.

then...

Last night there was a significant flip-flop temperature
inversion with the Summit being warmer than base. It
happens periodically, and for this morning it may actually
make things initially easier up on the trails.

Continuation Of Overnight Temperature Inversion:

Notwithstanding the wild variations and/or rise between
the actual and forecast values shown, we would expect
this inversion to revert sometime shortly before noon, at
around -10 C. We could be wrong.

Conditions Notes:

In the Groomed:

Today is Day-3 following an adverse Texas Low weather cycle
so we fully expect a far more normal, wide-ranging level of
Grooming refinement over a very firm base.

The main feature should be a more universal consistency
of loose top layer depths with a higher degree of seamless
connectivity between different skill level trails. For that reason
we think it will be a great day for learning progression.

As usual after a warm-to-cool oscillating temp cycle...

Fresh, well tuned edges on skis/board will be an essential
element of safety and fun. Wind-shaped variations in the
depths of natural snow in the substrates may result in
traffic exposed firm or icy bits and your perception of
those will be directly proportional to the state of your edges. Period.

In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed...

Continued very much a la Carte with high degrees of variable
conditions on a case-by-case basis that can range from raw
to very fine, but warrants Experts Only, and caution in all explorations.
