Welcome, Wonderful, Winter Weather Outlook.

And It Starts With Snow Last Night, Plus Snow All Day!

Not so good for photography, but excellent for skiing and boarding...

Typically, by this time in the season as March is
only two days away, we’d be seeing a lot more
signs of Spring in the forecast. A review of this
date in historic annual sequence will show there
are many occurrences of “plus C” values either
already occurring, or forecast to occur.

Of course it could all change, but at this stage
what we see are excellent prospects for a very
stable extension of the base foundation centred
around the relatively narrow spread between the
daily high and overnight low temp trend in the 14
day outlook that should be a huge component in
maintaining both quality and coverage for weeks
beyond.

Bottom line on this point is that anyone considering
a spontaneous getaway Tremblant Ski Holiday anytime
within the near-term weeks should have a very high
level of confidence for exceptional durability in winter
conditions with relatively little thermal influence.

Weather Notes:

With specific reference to the 14 day long range forecast
and “on the fence” potential Spring Skiing planners:

If the usual elevation differential of -4 C happened on
a dependable basis, it is possible that the Alpine Snow
Sports trail network could remain Sub-Zero C for the
entire time this forecast covers. Even if there are thermal
intrusions, they should be short and minor, so in our opinion,
this will all be extraordinarily fortunate for the prospects of
a fabulous early March extension of both the existing
conditions and future natural snowfall accumulations
that could easily reach into the mid-550’s cm’s or more.

Any season you could reasonably expect 550 cm’s
compared to the 30 year TOTAL average of 430 cm’s
has got to be worth “Spring” planning for.

Conditions Notes:

In the Groomed:

Superb grooming refinement quality after many
sequential sub-zero C days with small, easily
integrated new snowfall additions.

In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

The incremental snowfall accumulations with cryogenic
delivery should produce very light, dry crystalline top
layers, however... There will be wind-induced favour as
contour and sector shaping will definitely be noticeable,
in some cases within a handful of metres. For that reason
caution with speed is warranted due to what could be a
considerable variation in ambient depths along any given
descent line. Look for patterns, explore responsibly and
have fun!
