In keeping with our Le Tunnel(Trail # 66), symbolic excellence theme...
When This Is Great, Everything Is Great...

And, on top of all this.....
It’s Still Snowing At Tremblant!

8 Cm’s Of Fresh Snowfall Over All Of This.
Absolutely Fabulous For Middle-March....

We have written about the grooming of Versant Nord/North Side
Trail # 66, Le Tunnel every rare time it happens because of the
symbolic state of excellence it represents to both itself as a
spectacular descent of quite near perfect technical merit, as well
as an indicator, a canary in the coal mine, a sign, a telltale, a
small thing that means a disproportionally huge significance for
the status of "very close to ideal" refinement for the entire Mountain.
It is all of that today, plus 8cm’s of fresh new snowfall and we
do not think there could be a much better reason than that to drop
whatever it is that you are doing, make all the excuses you have
to, and immediately escape to ski at Tremblant because for today,
as it was yesterday, as it has been for weeks and months gone by...
Average Was Already Excellent, But With 8cm’s Of Fresh Snow On Top,
Average Is Now Extraordinarily Excellent.
This is not an exaggeration, it is a legitimate technical observation.
For Over 12 Hours This Was The Scene:

Weather Notes:
It Is Not Raining, It Is Still Snowing.
so-far...
For the past several days the winds aloft have been
much cooler than surface temps and that’s why we
think there has so-far been only snowfall instead
of the mix in the forecast. Of course... we’re hoping
that trend continues for today, so here’s “fingers crossed”.
Conditions Notes:
If you’re not on the road to Tremblant at this hour, you’re “Nuts”.
If it is impossible for you be on the road to Tremblant, we can
certainly understand that, but for goodness sake, try to do whatever
you can to fix that A.S.A.P.
3.13.23.Lowell.Thomas.Summit.Crest.Last.Run.POV.c.jpg
At cooler Mountain elevations, and sometimes by only a degree
or three below Zero C, it is still authentic, genuine, completely
winter and worth every ounce of effort you can make to get out
on these beautiful slopes.
