Despite the disappointing turn in the weather,
there are still 50 runs open and we're predicting
that you'll find conditions surprisingly good.
Once again, we say that there will always be good skiing or
boarding somewhere on the Mountain, but you will need to carefully
explore to locate it.
You will need to use all due care and control in todays conditions
as there will be highly variable surfaces possible. It will be a day
of applied technical skills and a back to basics approach may be
the best way to avoid any problems with natural hazards that you
could find.
The Tremblant Mountain Crews will have spent all night making
the best out of what we have, and at the very least, you could say
that this is a challenging task, so we need to be patient as the
maintenance of our terrain goes into recovery/preservation mode.
Think of it this way... According to the Official http://www.tremblant.ca
Snow Report, we have 352.7 acres of open terrain. This 352.7 acres needs
to have as much of its surface groomed as is possible and/or practical.
This mechanical process is similar to how a farm would need its fields
maintained and/or harvested in the sense that the physical surface actually
needs to be driven over by man and machine and that takes time. Ask any
Farmer how long it would take to cover a 352.7 acer farm for any given
task and you will find that it does not occur in a few minutes or even a
couple or three hours. That being said, it always amazes us that the
Tremblant Mountain Crews can do as much as they do overnight.

The weather today is forecasted to be temp's around -5C with calm to very
light winds from the west or coming up the Mountain from the Taschereau
side under overcast skies that may show sunny breaks later on in the day.
In any event, while conditions may not be exactly what we would like,
non-the-less, we are still Skiing and Boarding and it was not monsoon
rain, so we'll get by this just fine with patience and care.
