2023 - Summer, The Season Of The Big Smoke.

The Summer Of The Big Smoke.

The summer of 2023 may be long remembered as profoundly
effected by wild fire smoke emissions that blanketed significant
portions of North America for months.

Due to the fact that many of the most voluminous sources were
in northern Quebec and regionally effected Tremblant we are
adding this topic for archival reference.

In our opinion, one of the largest challenges in journalized
reporting for Tremblant as a specific location is the lack of
“Big Picture” context. Without context, historical reviewers might
think either the attendance experience, or what they heard
about the experience of their friends returning home, was in
any way a localized “Bubble”, particularly if local Social Media
was your only source of information. The graphics and data
included in this topic are provided for the express purpose of
highlighting Tremblant within what in this case, is literally a
North American Continental experience.

The durability of pervasively smokey conditions for such
an extended time, and over such an extended geographic
range has been remarkable. What we are attempting to
illustrate with this chronological stack of date progressive
meteorological/scientific data are the immense scales of
both time and distance.
