8(*) Open Trails At #Tremblant .
A Lot Of Strangers In Town...
But They’re Really Friendly, And Really FAST!
The F.I.S. travelling World Cup event staff,
new to Tremblant, should become a rapidly
growing, and very visible segment of the
Resort population.
This event is Globally televised and it is a
very big deal that we hope becomes a key
element of the annual scene here.
In our opinion, Women’s G.S. is arguably
the very best technical skills of skiing in
the world. Precision, finesse and strength
are combined in Women’s G.S. to a near
perfect blend and there are any number
of transferable technique elements that
are totally transferrable to recreational
skiing that can make YOU a better skier
by incorporating them into your skillsets. Period.
You can see all of that, right here at Tremblant
this weekend.
This is not to mention the thrills of competition
between the very best women skiers on planet
Earth, where the difference between victory and
second place can be measured in hundredths of
a second.
You can see all of that, right here at Tremblant
this weekend.
Weather Notes:
Continental Weather Perspectives:
This is one of the first major weather system
influences for the season and obviously, at
this stage, totally both welcome and needed
when it comes to potential snowfall, but also
for additional cold to help establish an early
frost penetration into the core mass of the
Mountain.
(Please note: For additional zoom-in detail, you
may be able to click on “Open in new Window”
for an expandable version of this graphic.)
Conditions Notes:
There are 2 “Progressive” or delayed openings this morning
at the top of Versant Sud/South Side. Alpine and Beauvallon
Haut/Upper should clear fairly quickly and in the meantime,
Nansen S is still available down to the TGV Base. The additional
square area of Versant Nord/North Side Beauchemin Haut/Upper
that was opened for the first time yesterday will be a welcome
alternative, especially with the Nansen pitch designated as
a race training zone again today.
Please Note: The snowmaking icons are not being shown
however at these temps there is indeed snowmaking being
done. Two clearly evident samples viewable from the web
cams are on upper Rope Tow, trail # 68 which indicates
the development within the Lowell Thomas sector, and
also visible is the snowmaking at the top of the McCulloch
Taschereau entrance zone which indicates the further
work on Taschereau that was shown a few days ago.

At this stage of the afternoon, the delayed opening of Sud/South Side
upper trails Alpine and Beauvallon have not cleared. It would be increasingly
unlikely that they will clear from this point forward.

be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
