17(*) Open Trails.

REVISED Open Trails To 15(*).

Archival Data Attached Below.

Please Note: We suspect the Open Trail list could change
during the course of the day. For best results, check with
the Tremblant Info.Ski Crews at their Summit station adjacent
to the Gondola off-load zone. They are “Radio Controlled”,
with up-to-the-minute Mountain Intel.

Weather Notes:

Forecast... Crisp, Cool, And Clear!

These temps should help freeze-dry some of the dampness
out of the snow that fell at just below the Zero C mark and
may have been a wee bit prone to humidity thickness.

Conditions Notes:

Post Snow Storm Refinements.

The rendering of fresh snowfall into the groomed/finished
open trail array is directly proportional to the depth amount
received in a single event. Typically, 10 cm’s of fresh snowfall
can be integrated into the trails at optimal density as a single
event, so when you have practically speaking, 4 times that
amount as a single snowfall event, it will take additional days
following of repeat grooming to pack the loft to the density
that becomes all-day mogul resistant smoothness.

During this process it is important to respect trail rated skill
level designations as serious and meaningful user directives,
especially for Beginners who do not yet have the experience
or confidence to safely navigate thicker tracked or uneven
trail depths that will definitely add challenge due to variable
rates of frontal resistance along any path of forward motion.

In other words, Beginners, stay on the Green’s. Intermediates,
stay on the Blue’s. Experts, have fun everywhere but if you’re
ripping up the powder edges on Green’s or Blue’s, please please
respect those of lesser abilities with very safe passing margins.

For everyone, please scan, scan, scan as you make progress
and be aware of those around you. It is not uncommon, especially
within the Intermediate group, to see over-confident, but maybe
under-skilled individuals who inadvertently gain excessive speed
in conditions that make it difficult to stop or avoid hazard.

For sure, deep fresh powder snow is the Grail for any Ski Resort,
but that utility favours Experts. For everyone else it means an
appropriate default to staying safe within Green and Blue trails
until groomed density becomes more universal.

It should be noted that Mountain Crews always prioritize Green’s
and Blue’s for Beginners and Intermediates, so trails like P’tit Bonheur
and Nansen commonly have multiple grooming passes and the
best and most reliably predictable quality following any major
snowstorm.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
