Happy New Year Everyone!
Today is going to be an Excellent day to bring in the New Year!
58 0pen Runs this morning under Overcast skies that hold
some promise of Snow, with a very easy to handle -5C.
These nice, comfortably sub-zero Celsius temps, should
give us a very "Grippy" surface. It will not be quite as “dry"
as the surfaces we get with very cold temps, but speed and
edge control should be at very high levels... in other words,
Superb Carving Conditions.
Considering the late start that we got with season to begin
with, the recovery and development of Open terrain at
Tremblant is quite remarkable. All of us that enjoy the
Alpine Experience at Tremblant owe a great deal to the
tireless efforts of the Tremblant Mountain Crews that
have done a superb job of making our Mountain the
very best it can be. The quality of the surfaces in terms
of both Grip and Consistency are what make our days on
the slopes so enjoyable and we Thank this great group of
Mountain Pro's for all their work. Bravo!
We are looking forward to the "progressive", or gradual
opening of the North Side runs of Geant and Upper Shissy
Schuss to Lower Fuddle-Duddle which are all shown in the
Official Grooming report below as ready for opening.
There was a very fine dusting of fresh Snow, just an inch or 2,
on portions of the North Side last night, so we feel that there
will be fabulous conditions there first thing this morning if you
are lucky enough to be out on "First Tracks".

- This Snap Shot is taken from the Summit looking North-East, out over the top of the Lowell Thomas Triple Chair. Every little bit helps and gradually, we can see the snow accumulating. If we got a couple of inches every night for the next 4 or 5 days, it could add up quite nicely.

- The First column shows the coloured skill level symbol, followed by the run name.
Explanation of the 3 status columns:
The First Column is tick marked for runs open. A Flag icon in the first column indicates the run has a Race course set on it. An "up" or "down" arrow in the first column indicates that the top or bottom portion of the run is open. An "hourglass" icon indicates that the runs opening is "Progressive", which can mean either gradual or delayed opening.
The second column shows runs with Snow Making. If there is a crescent moon shape in the second column, it means Snow Making is being done at night. The Boxed No.1 symbol in the second column means that is a "First Tracks" program Open Run.
The third column shows runs with Grooming. You will note that both Snow Making and Grooming can be shown on runs that are not open yet, this indicates the preparation of terrain that may be opened soon. The wavy icon in the third column indicates that run has natural undergrowth and is typically associated with Glade runs that may not be groom-able. - Picture 1.png (146.62 KiB) Viewed 3518 times

- North Side, Expo Quad loading zone. Snow Making Continues on "Warp Drive" where ever possible (here on lower Expo) and with any luck, we'll get some cooperation from Mother Nature!
